Zane Whitmore: Pierced Man Hangs from Hot-Air Balloon (Video)

You can tell Zane Whitmore is x-treme, because he has loads of tattoos... and because he's hanging from a hot-air balloon by his body piercings.

The video below shows Seattle resident Zane Whitmore get pierced four times in his back, and then lifted 10,000 feet in the air by the four piercings. He then floats above Long Valley Caldera, near Mono Lake, California, for 75 minutes.

Zane Whitmore's suspension will be part of a documentary called Feet Off the Ground, which is being produced by Precarious Egg. The film will also show Whitmore suspending himself above a river using a pulley, a rope, and four large hooks. Do not try this at home.

In describing his body-piercing-assisted balloon flight, Zane Whitmore said, "As I drifted down low I was struck by the movement I saw on the ground, by how much life exists in the desert. It was actually a very peaceful experience."

The flight also provided excellent footage for his Facebook profile pic.
