Zhora the chimp picked up a drinking and smoking habit while at the Rostov Zoo. His keepers have sent him to rehab in Kazan.
Zhora the Chimp was sent to Rostov in order to learn how to draw with markers, but, like so many students. picked up a partying habit instead.
This story reminds me of the vervet monkeys of St. Kitts, who have been known to raid beachside bars in order to get wasted.
"The beer and cigarettes were ruining him. He would pester passers-by for booze," the Komsomolskaya Pravda paper said.
