On Saturday we went down to the Brickyard on Main St. While we were there the bar owner's car alarm went off. He ran out the back door and caught a man who had just smashed his car window. The man was weilding a pair of scissors but the bar keeper threw him to the ground and had him pinned down. From the shadows emerged a group of street people. They suggested that the man be allowed to stand up and that 'the police should do the arresting'. The bar owner let the man go. He ran away. I doubt he will ever be caught.
As the bar owner walked back into the bar his arm was bleeding from a cut he got from the scissors. "Street Justice", he said, "That's the way it works around here".
