Study: Average biotech drug takes $1.2 billion, eight years to develop

BOSTON (AP) - The
average drug manufactured by the biotechnology industry costs $1.2
billion and takes a little more than eight years to develop, according
to a study released Thursday by the Tufts Center for the Study of Drug
Development.
