4th of July 2010 Parades: Things To Do For July Fourth
July 4th (Independence Day) is a Big Holiday in the United States and One of the Most Traditional Activities is to Attend a 4th of July Parade and Fireworks
National Independence Day Parade in Washington DC - Starts at 11:45am at Constitution Avenue and 7th Street (4th July Parade Route).
Staten Island Travis Parade - starts at 12:30pm from 141 East Service Road (4th July Parade Route). If you are in New York, of course the big event is the Macy's Fourth of July fireworks display (best places to view the fireworks).
Bristol Rhode Island claims to have the oldest fourth of July celebrations and their 4th of July parade begins at 10:30am on July 5. (4th of July Parade Route).
Gatlinburg Tennessee has the country's only 4th of July midnight parade, starting at 12 midnight on July 3. (4th of July Parade Route).
Edmond Oklahoma has their 4th of July parade on July 3, starting at 9am. (4th of July Parade Route (PDF)).
Summerville South Carolina has a special non-motorized July 4th parade.
Chicago does not really have a parade, but they must be mentioned here for their amazing fireworks display.
Lakeway Texas outside of Austin has a 4th of July parade.
Santa Clarita has their parade starting at 9am on July 4th. (4th of July Parade Route).
Arlington Texas' 4th of July parade starts at 9am on Saturday July 3. (4th of July Parade Route).
