Alien Sunglasses Are Everywhere
My Daughter was having a clear out and dropped by to give me some magazines she had read. There were loads of them all about fashion and style. After she left I started to flip through some of the pages on summer fashions. I was enjoying my little peruse and interested to note that in one way or another I have seen all these different styles regurgitate from one season to the next. Seen it all before, many years before. When I reached the pages and pages of sunglasses I laughed my head off at the ridiculous size and style, so huge you could not see the models face, just a mass of lenses. All different designer labels, really showing the same old thing. I recall having a pair in the early seventies. I also recall throwing them in the dustbin; they felt so uncomfortable and awkward. However on browsing at the colours and glamour with Diamante gold silver and all the colours of the rainbow, posh designer names logos you name it its amazing. However from past experience crazy marketing. The young lads on their sunny vacations will no doubt feast their eyes on the beautiful young women relaxing on the beaches .but if they are wearing the massive sunglasses they wont see their faces .it’s a case of what kind of fashion babe are you: A Gucci Gucci Goo Chriatian Dior A Dolche, or perhaps a vesage whatever the case may be the prices for these fashion accessories are beyond belief. And not worth it. Hundreds of pounds to hide the young women’s beautiful faces. it’s a rip off, but hey its stylish.
UPDATE.
Fashionable wee sister turned up at my home on her way to lunch. She was dressed up to the nines and it has to be said looked very smart and trendy. Except I couldnt see her face, you got it the face was covered by tiger skin and alien lenses.I could not resist, and asked her if I could try them on. Looked like an Alien and felt claustraphobic.

I love my huge sunglasses....I can put on some lipstick and a pair of over sized Guccis and I look stylish even if I just rolled out of bed....they also save me squinting and therefore putting off crows feet for a while...I always have several pairs...I wouldn't leave home without them....

Big sunglasses are wonderful for hiding behind. =] when i step out of the house on a sunny day with my sunglasses i feel much more put together. No squinting for me! And of course they look pretty funky.

Why hide behind sunglasses, be confident wither your at your best or worse appearance. I can see practical reason is to protect one eyes from the sunlight. Still look alien am afraid.

It's pretty true. Designers nowadays think they've come up with the "next new style" and throw it at the younger generations. I had no idea some of the styles I wear are some of the same exact styles my mom wore when she was my age age, and also when she was older. All before I was born. Mind you - she's 45 and I'm 17....haha, so a big age difference there.
Anyways...I love big sunglasses. I have a roundish face, so big sunglasses make the shape of my face a little more appealing. To me, atleast. They make me feel comfortable, and I love the style. Smaller sunglasses make me look like a fly, big sunglasses make me look and feel more stylish.

Well... I brought one pair in the previous week..
They sure do look good. I guess these glares would look really good on people who have a slightly big face and big eyes.. It would really enhance their persona!
