America's Next Top Model - Cycle 11 - Episode 10 Review

Stay tuned for tonight’s review of ANTM. 

Tonight the remaining contestants on ANTM will pack their bags and head to Amsterdam.

The girls participate in a crazy scavenger hunt to find their new home. 

I’m hoping the girls take time during their scavenger hunt to really embrace themselves in the culture – perhaps toke up?  So yes I’d like to see the girls smoke some pot. We normally see them drinking wine and since they’re in Amsterdam they should sample the local cuisine. 

Upon their arrival, three of the girls also decide to take another bath together. Ooooh boy another scandalous bath scene!!! 

We saw on the preview from last week that the girls will be modeling clothes in the Red Light District. 

Sheena takes high fashion to a new low.  She hooches it up in Amsterdam to the horrified stares of Mr. and Miss Jay. 

Only six girls remain, and one of them will be eliminated tonight.  

Who will still be in the running to become America’s Next Top Model?

Episode Review:

The girls get back to their house cheering about going to Amsterdam.  The camera's turn to Elina...I don't pay attention i don't like her.  Go away Elina...go away! Please fly away on your broom soon for Halloween and please go tonight!

Hahaha - yeah, she is a bit of a witch isn't she? She just has a face that annoys me - maybe that's mean to say.

McKey says Elina knows her, Sam and Sheena all wanted her gone. 

Yeah, no kidding

Samantha is excited to play in Holland and have some bomb photo shoots.. I had to rewind it there because I almost thought she said "bong" photo shoots.  Cali girl wanting to do bong photo shoots...so I re winded and to clarify it's just "bomb" -...more Valley Girl talk there. 

I can't stand it when Samantha talks. I think she is pretty and I'm sure really nice and lovely, but she just needs to shut her mouth - it's like being in high school all over again.

Sheena doesn't know what Amsterdam has in store for her. All she knows is that she's been posing too sexy so she's learning how to be more "modelesque" and that's what the competition has taught her so far. 

Maybe Sheena has a whole new career in store for her....?

The girls then arrive at the airport.  They are greeted by the host of Holland's Top Model..Daphne Deckers.  who knew?? Did you?  How many Top Model shows are there out there. I will find this out and post the information later.  Or if you know tell me and I will tell everyone else. 

I only found out that there was a Britain's Next Top Model today!

She's sending them around the city to learn the surroundings and to find their new house. The winners will both get 50 extra frames in the next photo shoot.  Very good prize!!! They pick partners. Teams are as follows:

Elina and Samantha - whoa holy combination!  Poor poor Samantha for being stuck with Elina..the girl she despises!  Ironic - they hate each other. But Samantha says she doesn't care she just wants to win get this over with then Elina can go back to hating her. She knows they aren't exactly on the same page...ever. 

Uggh I would hate to be stuck with Elina - what a nightmare. Although it's amazing what people will do when they want to win something.

Marjorie and Analeigh - we knew this one was coming! they like LOVE each other

McKey and Sheena - they paired up right away...that's how Samantha got stuck with Elina!

The girls are off.  Marjorie knows euros are used..genius..she thinks she's a genius and wants to share with us that... yes oh yes she knew that information.  

Marjorie needs to stop playing the 'European card' - yeah we get it, you're European, that doesn't make you better than everyone else, and you'll just look doubly as stupid when you get everything wrong because you bragged about it before.

Sheena seems confused.  Elina took off her shoes and ran barefoot everywhere and said its probably one of the funnest thing's she's ever done. you have fun Elina? 

How could anyone fun barefoot in a public place and call it 'fun' least of all 'least fun person on the planet Elina.'?

Surprise Marjorie and Analeigh miss the train.

HAHAHA - see what I mean Marjorie?

All the other girls get on.  Sheena says she "thought Amsterdam is gonna be like grimy and dirty and like weed and sex and like alcohol but it's you know it's just soooo gorgeous".  I agree I want to go (because of the gorgeous part)! 

I have been and it is just amazing! I loved it!

McKey and Sheena look for a phone to figure out where they have to go next. 

The girls scramble.  Samantha finds a phone first!  Marjorie and Analeigh are in last place.  They are behind.  Sheena and McKey find a phone.  Girls hurry to their next location.  

They all arrive at the same time..except slow pokes Marjorie and Analeigh.  Elina says she can't run anymore. Samantha says yes you can.  How annoying...poor Sam has to listen to Elina complain.   The slow pokes then catch up. 

The girls are following a train.  Sam and Elina arrive first...yea for Samantha..not Elina..I don't like you. 

They have to share 50 frames? What? I thought they each got 50. Guess we'll have to wait and see. 

Wow, I'm confused by that round-up! I'm surprised Sam and Elina won actually - I never would have thought they could have pulled it off.

The girls go into the house.  Looks pretty awesome. They get to pick their beds first. Samantha thinks they're sorta bonding.  haha maybe they'll be bff's after this!  Sheena thinks they are first...hahah they are last!!!! what happened Sheena and Mckey??? How did you let Marjorie and Analeigh beat y'all?

The house is amazing!! I love it!! Although am not sure about the weird wigs attached to dutch hats that are lying on all the beds. Do they really have to wear those?

Tyra Mail (everyone screams) People used to come to play where fashion makes it hot today.

The house is so cozy Samantha said.  But Analeigh, Marjorie and Elina all take a bath together!  Sheena and Samantha complain about them being too loud. She says "girl what's wrong with you we're tired!".  Mckey says she "feels so frustrated with the vajayjay shaving party and if Sheena or Sam go home she's going to die because the other three she doesn't relate with". hahahaha I am laughing so hard right now.  vajajay shaving party!

I am not sure what I think about this bathing party. I mean, on one hand, it's nice that all the girls get along so well, on another hand, I thought it was a bit too much and seemed an 'interesting' way to bond. And I know for sure that if I was the other girls trying to get to sleep I would have been so mad at them! It may be fun to hang out with all girls but it's still a competition and they're still against each other at the end of the day.

Commercial ...it's a preview for Gossip Girl (I don't watch this show) and Britney Spears new single Womanizer is played...it's not sooo soo bad. I hope she get's herself together.  She hit rock bottom there. Britney be strong girl. Don't shave your head ever again! 

I love Gossip Girl - watch it every week! (Should I admit that?)

Back at the house...

Elina says she would love to live here permanently...are they stoned?  I wonder...she's opening up...pot does that to you...so I've heard...

Right! 'so you've heard!' Tsk tsk Stephanie... :)

McKey thinks Elina should just go for Holland's Next Top Model. 

The girls make their way to Amsterdam's Red Light District, one of the areas it's famous for. Sheena is pumped she's seeing half naked women in the window. She laughs. She's wondering if she can hone down the hooch thing and not be too sexy!  Elina is all about the prostitution... you would say that..weirdo. 

Maybe Elina thinks it's a 'women's rights' thing? Also, this is so the wrong place for Sheena to tone down the hooch.

Miss Jay is there with some guy Carlo Wijnands in the Red Light District. Theirs a project called "Red Light Fashion Amsterdam"; they take some of the brothels and turn them into fashion designer show rooms.  Carlo is one of the founders. They'll be broken into pairs..everything they've learned they'll adapt to the designers.  As a team they'll be judged on how well they model the designs in the window. Miss Jay announces the pairs:

1. Sheena and Marjorie 
2. McKey and Sam
3. Elina and Analeigh

I have to say, I love this idea about modeling in the windows in 'real time'; it is so cool! I think it's just the perfect setting for it too.

Miss Jay says they have to work together in order to win this challenge. It's the prize of all prizes and to trust him.  They go meet the designers.  Edwin is Mckey and Sam's designer. Their theme is suppose to be like a little dolls house.  Samantha finds selling women in windows degrading and she's happy they are modeling their clothes and not their bodies. Analeigh points out how controversial it is.  Their designer Jan explains his vision for the window is romantic gowns that can be turned into jackets so they can sit on bicycles.  Elina thinks they'll work well together.  Sheena meets Bas who says their shoot is suppose to be freaky and crazy.  Sheena goes crazy with her and Marjorie's make-up.  The girls model.

Elina's and Analeigh's dresses are odd, and Sheena's make-up scares me!

Analeigh and Sheena are being shown first.  Analeigh was playing with the decorations.

She wasn't playing with them, she was stuck in them!

Elina looks like she represents the dress best. 

Whatever.. I hate her.

Then we have McKey and Sam.  McKey wants to win she needs a confidence booster.  The designer loves the models.  He loves McKey..yeah me too.  She's so pretty! I think they do great! 

Sheena and Marjorie are next.  Marjorie does crazy hump back poses.

The only reason Marjorie did so well was because she could do those poses - those are the only ones she knows!

Yeah she has those weird natural poses of hers.  Sheena looks like she selling what she wants them to buy...they say she was too feminine? 

Mariette from Red Light Fashion Amsterdam says the girls will be invited to a fashion week there or something.  Miss Jay re-explains his statement and says Sheena looks like she belonged in that window.  The winners are....McKey and Sam....yea!!!! they won they won! They are excited...so am I.  

Yeah, they deserved to win for sure.

Tyra Mail (everyone screams) I know you've just arrived but your voyage to become America's Next Top Model continues tomorrow.

Samantha explains how awkward she was modeling by 'real' prostitutes.  Elina says it wasn't that big of a deal.  Elina says Sam is disrespecting.  Elina thinks she's being targeted.  She's off again..about a "hundred pages away" Sam says. hahahaha yes we all think she's crazy too Sam!  

I think Elina is just standing up for prostitution to be argumentative and be on the other side of the fence. I don't think she really cares that much about the subject. And who says thinks like 'a hundred pages away!?' Come on Sam, shut up!

Right afterward Elina says she's feeling sick and irritated.  She can't stress or think about it.  perhaps you should smoke some pot...de-stress Elina...I think it'll do you some good. Take the edge off..you sure seem like you carry a chip on your shoulder all the time.  If not weed get on something...please! 

You are all about the weed tonight Steph... hmmm :)

The girls arrive near some pretty cool looking windmills.   I want to go there!  Mr Jay says Amsterdam is known for their shipping industry.  The girls will board a boat for their photo shoot.  Girls get their makeup done.  The girls meet Andy Tan, an internationally known photographer that lives in Holland.

McKey is up first.  Mr Jay says she looks like a monster...that's kinda mean. Who wants to be called a monster?  McKey wants to do well.  Mr Jay says he got excited she was creative.

You do have to admit though that she did look like some crazy Amazon woman..

Samantha is up next. she wants "to do something like whoooooa"  She get's 25 extra frames (there to clarify they each get 25 frames).  She does well.

She needs to stop talking - she'll get better.

Sheena - Mr Jay says her energy was lacking today.  She knows she has to work on not being too sexy or hooch.  She then kicks her leg up in the air.  oh dear...Sheena did you not just tell yourself not to be too sexy or hooch!  She then straddles the beam on the boat! oooh my ..Sheena Sheena says she's not hoochie...she says "get that hoochie out the door it don't exist here" 

I have a bad feeling she's going home. Who straddles a pole like that as if you're trying to prove something to everyone?

Elina up now.. barf...fall off the boat please. She gets 25 extra frames. so we have to watch and listen to her for even longer. She says she's really focused and into what she was doing.  Mr Jay is annoyed that Elina is not listening to him.  She just ignores him. oh my gosh she just ignored him and said "I was trying to focus" so she just ignored him!  She ignored and pissed off the director of the photo shoot....you idiot...gosh!  

She should go home - you can't ignore the director of the shoot! And what was she focused doing? Looking awful and way too serious!

McKey thinks Elina is ugly from the inside out.  Sheena agrees.  So do we girls!

I love how after McKey says that, the camera cuts to the creepiest shot ever of Elina! Hahahaha

Analeigh is up.  They remind us she's a skater...duhhh...we know this.  She does some nice shots.  She brought the skater to set and used it to her advantage. Her hair looked really nice. Love the hair..want the hair! 

She is my fav - even though she exhibits some strange bath time behaviour...

Marjorie is up.  She still just annoys me.  Pretty but very very annoying.  She does well

I can't decide what animal she reminds me of - maybe a shrew? Or something that always has a tick.

They go back to dock the boat.

Tyra Mail (everyone screams) Tomorrow you will meet with the judges. only five will continue on in becoming America's Next Top Model. 

Elina is evil and says she had a dream it was going to be her and Sheena and they were crying.  You evil beeotch...don't voodoo curse and imply she's going to be in the bottom two ...that's sooo mean!

commercial time....Elina is a really mean person.  Does everyone agree?  What is her problem with everyone in the world? or the world? 

Her problem is that she is jealous and insecure - that's why people do and say things like that (there, some Pshchology 101 for you all!)

Judgment time.  Tyra welcomes them to their first Amsterdam judging.  She tells them Amsterdam is on to becoming a fashion capital of the world.  She goes over the prizes.

Judges are Nigel, Miss Jay, Paulina and Daphne from the first challenge and host of Holland's Next Top Model.

Elina is up first.  they say it's interesting. one of her most high fashion photos but that she also looks like a pirate..haha. Tyra says she looked stiff in her film.  She brings up how she ignored Mr Jay and leaves it at that. haha

If she was a pirate imagine how you would just want to walk the plank to get away from her!

Sheena - says she forgot her "pretty"

What does that mean?

Analeigh - they loved it

Loved it!

McKey - she's wearing some warrior clothes.  they like this side of her and they love her shot.

Her clothes were awful, just awful. Why was she wearing some kind of chian mail vest?

Marjorie - they point out how nervous she is in person and how she has great poses in pictures but they are wondering if she wants to be here. She then looks like she's going to cry..again

Yes, I am thinking a shrew..

Samantha - they don't like the clothes she arrived in.  They hooch her up. hahaha Just have Sheena help you next time Sam!  They loved her photo.

So McKey was wearing an Amazon woman outfit and Samantha looked like she was attending an PTA meeting - what is going on?

Time for the judges to deliberate.  When they comeback she will announce which one of them is getting thrown overboard.

They deliberate. 

Tyra only has 5 photos in her hand.  The name she doesn't call must pack her bags and leave immediately. 

First name of the house is the best picture and their photo will be displayed as a digital image.

Bottom two are Elina and Sheena!  She guessed it!  Who's it going to be?  Please be Elina please be Elina.  Tyra  says Elina takes a pretty picture but they don't see a model in front of them.  She brings up how her control brings stiffness in her photos. Then we have Sheena the girl who is opposite. Full of personality and not so interested in being totally in control. The girl people want to be around. so who stays and who goes home?  Elina stays. nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Let me just second that - noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! I cannot take one more week of Elina and her stuck up 'holier than thou' ways. It's just too much.

I know Sheena didn't do to well but I can't stand Elina! ughhhhh damn her.  Poor Sheena. She has a good spirit about it at least...unlike Clark! 

Gosh, did you have to bring her up again?

Tyra says she has "it" and "that thing". That's positive...see we all loved you Sheena!  Sheena knows she left her mark and knows there will never be another Sheena.  That's the spirit Sheena.

I feel sad that Sheena has gone, but after thinking about it, she was kind of hoochy most of the time, which is not good for high fashion. However, Elina needs to go home next and then Marjorie and then I feel like it will actually be a real competition. The other three girls really deserve to be there and could really make something of themselves. I think next week looks fun as the girls have to rely on themselves and not each other to get things done. Always makes things so much more interesting!

Coming up on America's Next Top Model - Tyra will be shooting their photo-shoot. The girls then travel by land and sea to meet their casting directors for their 'go sees'. Madness obviously ensues.
