America's Next Top Model - Cycle 11 - Episode 11 Review

“The Final Five”

Stay tuned for tonight’s review of ANTM. 

Tonight the remaining 5 contestants on ANTM will go on their ‘go sees’. Analeigh, McKey, Marjorie, Samantha and Elina will try to navigate their way around Amsterdam by themselves to see the different designers. There’s no room for mistakes. 

Marjorie feels the pressure, Sam gets lost a bunch and Elina tries to show the judges she is fierce at panel by screaming like a monster.   I feel like every week they are trying to get Elina to “let go”…seriously are we still on that?  LET GO ALREADY! We also discover tonight that Elina is only 18! 

I am shocked she is only 18 - how did I miss that at the beginning? I thought for sure she was about 23 or so! Crazy! I wonder if she will be the one to go this week? I have a feeling, but of course I could be wrong...

Tyra will be the photographer for the girls photo shoot challenge this week. Only five girls remain, and one of them will be eliminated tonight.   Who will still be in the running to become America’s Next Top Model?  Are you ready to be on top?

Episode Review:

Girls are on a party bus.  Analeigh knows she's been approving. Elina talks about how she was stiff. Marjorie thinks Elina isn't trying. haha 

Elina could try harder I think

Marjorie says Elina is convinced she's got everything right.  Marjorie talks about how nervous she is.

Yeah, ,she is so nervous I am getting jittery just watching her!

Tyra Mail (everyone screams) You have to be more than good looking if you want the first booking. Love, Tyra   Hmmm could they be going on their go see's?

Samantha is doing an awful dance, and she needs to stop saying 'like'. Marjorie is still nervous and McKey is still wearing that awful chain mail outfit. It's just bad... no other words

The girls get out of the bus. They see Frederick Koster and his colleague.  He has five top designers that will evaluate the girls today.  The girl who impresses the designers the most will be today's winner of the challenge.  The girls will be given a map to find the designers and then they have to be back by 5:00 and  if they are late they will be disqualified.  

They are off!:

I think go sees must just be so difficult - so much to cram into one day. The girls get boats to go around though - that's fun! I love though how they are just drifting along looking bored in their incredibly slow boats (which are really VERY slow)

McKey and Sam ask for directions. 

Analeigh takes a boat with a rather cute boat driver! haha

I totally noticed that too! So funny!

Marjorie also takes a boat..she's freaked out

She probably thinks she's going to fall in or something..

Sam is excited and meets her first designer and kisses her three times. She tries on a swim suit

Samantha just called Amsterdam 'dutch'. That's bad, but she looks hot in a bikini! However designer doesn't like her because she's too commercial. I guess she is. Samantha can't pronounce the words either - no kidding!

McKey meets her first designer and impressed her with her gorgeous face.  She does well on her first go see. 

Marjorie...poor Marjorie is confused by the directions. of course you are.

Yeah, not too surprising, but I feel so bad for her!

Sam has no idea where the heck she is going .Got lost "sooo many freakin times". 

Haha - I had to laugh at that!

Analeigh seems confused as well. Trying to read the signs

I don't blame her - Dutch is a very hard language.

Marjorie looks like a lost Chihuahua.  Other people seem afraid of her..yeah I would be too

Her hair looks like a hat

Analeigh meets her first designer.  Hans. She wants to win this challenge so badly as she said "it means an international designer sees something in her and she can get hired”. She impresses him. Good Job Analeigh!

Love her!

Elina goes to her first designer.  Since she was running she's hot and sweaty..the designer is disgusted...yeah gross. He wasn't impressed and said she was "playing a model and isn't a model" wow harsh!

Elina has a 'sweaty back' - barf! Too much information! Elina 'playing a model' - well can't argue with that.. Elina is mad because of her tattoos - well some models have them so I should think it would be ok.

All the girls go to designer number 2 and poor Marjorie is frazzled and can't find her 1st designer and is going around in circles...again a lost Chihuahua. ...oh dear...she's crying..again..

commercial time.

Marjorie finally finds a designer.  She’s at the swim suit place..the designer can tell Marjorie is uncomfortable and tells her not to be so nervous. She runs into Elina.  She’s at the swim suit place.  The designer tells Elina she has too many tattoos and wouldn’t be able to hire her.  Elina takes it personally. Get over yourself Elina.

Well some models have them so I should think it would be ok.

McKey impresses designer Mart but then loses track of time by being distracted by the beauty.  Only thirty five minutes remain...

She does have such an interesting face - that's true

Elina goes to go see number 4 Analeigh is at 3 and they are at the same place. Analeigh has to wait but it pays off as she impresses the designer .  Go Analeigh!

Marjorie is at number 2 designer Hans  who says he’s “seen enough” . She of course is upset and crying and goes back early with lots of time left while the other girls are hurrying to get as many done as possible.

Probably going back was the worst decision ever - you should just keep going and try; I think you always get points for trying.

Elina loses a shoe off the boat flirting with her boat driver. hahaha

I laughed so hard at this! It was pretty funny!

McKey is no where to be found..every other girl made it back..only a couple minutes left...

This was such a stupid decision of hers, hate to say it, but true.

They all think McKey is their top competition.  The girls are freaking out with the time and the judges disqualify McKey because she was late. Poor McKey - they said she had the greatest response from the designers and probably would have won if she was on time. tsk tsk

I felt that was really big-headed of her to say that. I mean it's true, but humbleness is attractive too.

Sam they said was too commercial and not couture.

Elina was a good runway model but has too many tattoos which is going to be a problem. 

I think it would be ok... maybe I just don't know how to model (well obviously)

Marjorie they point out how nervous she was . 

Duh...

Analeigh they loved her hair and how she looked so fresh but she tried too hard to please the designers. 

The winner wins items from all the designers worth over $18,000 and the winner is Analeigh!  Yea for Analeigh! She won she won! Her new clothes will be back at the house. The other girls are so jealous. Elina is of course super jealous and thinks she should have won instead of Analeigh hahaha.

I think Analeigh totally deserved to win - that's great! 

Tyra Mail: You’ve never been exposed like this before but you will be amazed after. Love, Tyra

The girls go back on their bus.  They arrive at the shoot and meet Mr Jay, then Tyra pops out.  She announces she will be shooting the girls today.  She tells the girls they will be photographed two ways. Clean and after when they get all glammed up, fierce and ferocious. 

Sam is relieved it’s not a nude photo-shoot.

So am I...

Elina is excited about Tyra being the photographer. 

Me too - I like when Tyra directs the girls - you can learn a lot

Marjorie of course is super nervous and feels more pressure than she expected.  Someone please give this girl some xanax...please!

Yeah, please calm down - you're making me nervous!

Sam is up first.  She does well with her clean shoot. Now they do some crazy make-up on her.  Tyra thinks Sam comes alive with make-up and theatrics.  Says she did well and impresses Tyra and Mr Jay.

I like her make-up - she looks crazy

Marjorie is next. She tries to shake off her nerves.  Tyra wasn’t excited to shoot her because of all her nerves.  Her make-up looks crazy..like a different person and they chopped off some more of her hair because Tyra thought it felt like fur.  Marjorie does a little better with this shot

Marjorie is ok, not bad. I totally missed that part about cutting her hair though. What was I doing??
 
Analeigh is up now – Tyra says it was lovely.

I concur!

Elina is up next and Tyra is upset with how long Elina’s nails are.  Says they need to be short.
Elina wants to show Tyra she isn’t stiff  and of course doesn’t let go…again…stiff again…too controlling..again. then they poof up her hair and I must say all the girls make-up looks pretty cool.  Tyra and Mr Jay tell her to let go...again...

Elina is trying, I can see that, but Tyra doesn't seem very impressed

McKey is up next..she can model Tyra says.. props to McKey. They only do make-up on one of her eyes which looked kinda freaky

McKey's before pose looks gorgeous - I could never look like that. I'm so jealous
McKey's after look is scaring the crap our of me and she's all bent over weirdly - I don't understand modeling I think

That’s it. Back at the house.

Tyra Mail (screams) Tomorrow you will meet with the judges. Only four will continue on in the hope of becoming America’s Next Top Model. Love, Tyra

Marjorie of course talks about how Elina never acts nervous and how she thinks she has it in the bag.  Elina doesn’t know what else she can do because she thinks "she’s good".

I don't even know who is going home this week - I think it might be Elina, but I'm not sure. I feel like it is her time to go home, but maybe not. Then again Marjorie isn't doing very well, so maybe it is her time and Elina can stay another week

Judgment time. They go over the prizes.

I love when Tyra tells stories about her own modeling days - so much fun

First one up to be critiqued:

Sam - went to 4 go see's and booked 2 jobs. They like how her clean one looked like a Calvin Klein Ad.  Nigel says it's his favorite to date.  They like this one too since she made Tyra excited and stood on her tippy toes.

I don't see the difference between Samantha in panel and Samantha in the 'before' picture - she looks the same to me

Analeigh - she was the challenge winner. Booked 3 out of 3 go see's.  Nigel think's she looks intimidated in the picture.  They love her glamour shot. 

Analeigh booked all three jobs! I don' t like Analeigh's before picture but her after picture is amazing!

Marjorie - went to 2 go see's says how mortifying the experience was for her. She didn't book any of the go see's. Her first shot pretty much sucked but her glamour shot was good. 

Marjorie's hair looks weird. Her before picture is not that good and her first pic is the best but her after picture is incredible! I can't believe it! It doesn't look like the same person!

Elina - says she looks like a bad version of Angelina Jolie in Mr. and Mrs. Smith.  They bring up her tattoos and how she booked 2 out of 4 go see's.  They talk about her stiffness. Elina act's like she can't be bothered.  They make her go crazy and act like a monster. This is where they bring up how she's only 18 but looks a lot older...yeah I agree.

I love how the judges start to deconstruct Elina but they don't seem impressed with her. Elina's 'crazy' is really boring. Tyra can't believe she is 18! Neither can I! That's insane! Her scream is really high pitched but at least we got a reaction out of her.

McKey - she went to 4 go see's and would have booked 4 jobs if she had been on time.  They are impressed with her photos anyway.

McKey looks like a red puff pastry, but her before picture is great. The after picture is really well done - very dramatic. I like it

Deliberation time.  When Tyra calls the girls back she will determine which one of the girls will go have to go back home to America.

I think Elina is going for sure - her pic is the one most picked on by the judges. From the way the judges are making fun of her, she must be going home now - I feel kind of bad for her

Five girls stand before Tyra. Only four will continue on in hopes of becoming America's next Top Model.

First name is the best week's photo and will be displayed as digital art in the house.

1.  Samantha is called first!

I'm glad Samantha is first this week - even though her voice is annoying

2.  McKey

3.  Analeigh

Marjorie and Elina are in the bottom two!  Yea!

Hmm, I can't decide who I would rather stay and who I would rather go...Marjorie can stay because she looks like she is going to cry. Although she does look like some kind of street mime in those clothes she is wearing

Both of them have so much potential Tyra says.

Elina has a face that doesn't come by often and a confidence that is beautiful but that she holds on and that diminishes her beauty. 

Then there is Marjorie who's nerves stand in her way but looks exquisite. So who stays and who goes home....

Marjorie stays!  Elina gets booted finally!  Tyra tells Marjorie that she needs some of Elina's confidence. Tyra tells Elina not to let her control get in the way of her modeling career. Elina cries. 

Elina is going! I called it! Well, maybe not, but it is a little shocking. Elina does cry - weird - she could have used that before. Aww, Tyra needs to stop making fun of her suit! Poor girl!

Oooh next week - there is making out, and not with each other!
