America's Next Top Model - Cycle 11 - Episode 12 Review

Tonight we are down to the final 4 girls - Analeigh, McKey, Marjorie, and Samantha.

The motto tonight is “Don’t Drink and Model”. 

From the preview it looks like Marjorie get’s pretty hammered and makes out with someone…and it’s not Analeigh!  The girls also get advice from Paulina Porizkova on how to model with all sorts of random objects. 

Marjorie looks like she attacks that poor guy in the preview! I think tonight is going to be a good one - lots of drama, drinking and general debauchery. My money is on Marjorie to go home, but I guess we'll have to wait and find out!

Tonight should be a good episode, as we’ll found out who our top three models are for the season finale of ANTM.

Episode Review:

We begin...

We are reminded that Marjorie was a nervous wreck last week, and that Elina was sent home.  Only four girls remain:
Samantha
Marjorie
Analeigh and  McKey. Who will be eliminated tonight?

Commercial time ; preview for Australia...looks good!  Then a sneak peak at Christina Aguilera's new album - not sure I like her new song.  Can't believe she has a favorite's album already. Enough of the commercials...back to the house we go...

Samantha sees her photo displayed as digital art in the house.  She is happy and does a cartwheel.  Marjorie talks about being in the bottom two.  Samantha then asks her if it sucked?  Well yeah Samantha what do you think? Another dumb thing for Samantha to say..she’s starting to annoy me.  Marjorie continues to talk about really trying to calm down.   Yeah ok…we’ve heard this before.

Poor Sam - she doesn't know when to stop talking does she?

Tyra Mail (screams...fake cheers) ..no wait…Tyra Post.  A Model  who knows how to sell makes the most sense.  Love Tyra

Did they just start calling it Tyra Post now?

Samantha makes a dumb sound…then we turn to Analeigh and Marjorie and her nerves. She seems really sad.  I feel bad for her.  She annoys me with her nerves but she’s really pretty and if she just got a hold of everything she’d be awesome…probably the prettiest here.  

Marjorie?? No way - I don't think she's even close to being the prettiest (no offence, sorry Marjorie)

The girls go into a beautiful building and they meet Paulina Porizkova.  She reminds them that as models, their primary task is to sell.  She is going to introduce them to a couple tricks. She’s going to teach them how to incorporate their senses into selling wordlessly.  The girls start smelling fish…eww gross.  Marjorie almost looks orgasmic smelling the fish.  Samantha makes another dumb comment.  Then the girls play with toilet paper.  Analeigh looks like she belongs in a Cottonelle commercial.  McKey loves Paulina.  She’s intimidated though.   Marjorie doesn’t know how to act romantic.  Paulina was impressed with McKey.  Marjorie’s strength lies in all her emotions.  Analeigh was a good actress but not aware of the camera.  Samantha was like a clown..yeah.  Paulina thinks the exercise went well.

I actually didn't watch this part because I got bored, so I can't comment on this.

Tyra Mail (sceams..ooohs aaahhs).  Your delivery better be on the Mark.  Love, Tyra

The girls think they might have a commercial as their next challenge.  The girls talk.  McKey and Sam really want to be in the top three.  They talk about their efforts.  They know this is where it really really counts.  Sam wants to keep going and “freakin win this now and it’s just like ughhhhh”

Sam really wants to win but part of me thinks she is just not going to. I mean, she is a good model (remember her 'natural pic last week?) but really she's just too annoying for me. When she speaks it's too annoying. I think she can't win because of that... ok that is mean I know.

Marjorie is trying to be as positive as possible.  Then the girls go and see Paulina at Amsterdam Worldwide - One of the top boutique ad agencies in Amsterdam.  They meet their creative director Richard Gorodecky.  The girls will audition for a :30 sec  commercial.  It will be a sports shoot.  They have to jog pass a taxi and go up to a man and give him a big kiss on the lips.  Then they have to get in his taxi and drive off.  NO words in the script.  They will do the shoot with Mark something or another.  The girls get to kiss a supermodel (I personally thought he was gay!).  The winner of the challenge will win a $10,000  shopping spree  with  gstar raw denim. Whoa that’s a lot of denim!  

When Marjorie says she needs to 'push those self-doubts away' she looks so unsure of herself I couldn't stop laughing. She looked even more nervous than before!

Supermodel guy is not that hot - I was a little disappointed. Although in some of his pics, he looked absolutely gorgeous!

Samantha is up first.  She was expecting to do the shoot outside but it’s not. It’s inside and the girls have to run on a treadmill!  Mark comes over. I still think he’s gay.  Their flirting is awful.  No chemistry whatsoever.  The judges think they did well.  Mark says it was convincing. I thought her run up to him ruined everything.  Samantha said she loved it and that it was great.

I think Sam's commercial was great - I loved her facial expressions; she was very flirty and natural and funny!

Analeigh is up next.  They look like they are in a Tasters Choice commercial.  Good cheesy chemistry.  She stands on her tippy toes to kiss him. Haha I have to do that too since I’m so short! Oh they do a good job.  I like Analeigh I hope she wins!  Such beautiful hair and she’s just yeah she’s got great hair. At least have her in the top two…please!  Analeigh said he had soft voluptuous lips and enjoyed it a lot. 

Analeigh is cuter, and a bit more hesistant, but she also did a great job.

McKey is up.  She  jogs kinda funny.  Haha I can’t stop laughing.  She looks awkward then pounds him. 

Good kiss though!

Marjorie says she’s going to try and have fun and not be neurotic.  Haha she looks funny running too.  She giggles and flirts with him.  Go Marjorie her quirkyness works then she kisses him and runs back to the taxi all nervous but it works. Wow go Marjorie!  Marjorie looks happy for once.  Yea …finally..happy Marjorie!

Marjorie's flirting was a bit crazy - lots of big eyes, but she did better than I thought. I wasn't sure if McKey was slamming her for thinking she did well, but I'm not sure.

Critiques from Paulina:  She says they should all be proud of themselves.

Samantha- went over the edge with being adorable. 

Analeigh – cute..sweet..good performance and a good actress which is important.  Richard liked her a bunch!

McKey – they weren’t so impressed

Marjorie- They say she was so awkward it was scary but her performance was the most honest and it worked.
 
The winner of the $10,000 shopping spree is…Marjorie!  Can you believe it?!  She ofcourse picks Analeigh to join on the spree.  Oh that’s nice of her and she can share if she wants and she splits it evenly.  Aawwww that’s so nice of her.  Marjorie you are winning brownie points in this episode!  

Awww, poor Marjorie, but she won!! Great! I think it was so sweet Marjorie split the money evenly - she didn't have to do that.

Tyra Mail (screams)  Tomorrow you’ll be going Dutch, but you’re gonna have to give 100%. Love, Tyra

Nobody knows what it means.  Seriously girls?

Marjorie apparently wanted to call the guys that drove them to their go sees (the boat guys) from last week’s challenge.  Oh yeah bring back that cute one!    So she calls to bring the boys over!  Go Marjorie for getting some balls!!!  Oh wait  I think it’s the booze – she tells whoever is on the phone to bring more wine. Hahahahaha I think she’s tipsy!  Who knew that’s all she needed was booze!  About damn time!

I don't think she was drinking before this though. They had no alcohol yet - Marjorie was just trying to be more gutsy than before - guess it's working...

Marjorie is now a little intense for me I think.

The boys come over.  None of the other girls are drinking but Marjorie – she’s “letting loose because of wine. Wine’s my friend.  And also because I won a challenge” hahaha and something else…  she’s slurring but nothing is spinning so she thinks she’s good. 

Haha - wine is my friend too!

The girls play charades.  Marjorie puts a high-heeled shoe on one of the models.  The girls wrestle with the guys.  Sam is playing magic tricks with one of them. 

Analeigh tells the camera that the party went from fun to messy.  Hahaha Marjorie is TRASHED!  She starts making out with one of the models! Holy crap nervous Chihuahua girl is mugging down with one of the guys that drove the boats.  Hahahaha   This is finally getting good!  

I think it's not a good idea to drink on a show like this - I think the other three are smart. Always better to be sober than drunk on national tv.

Marjorie picks the least attractive guy to kiss - not a good idea. I think the others were better, but Marjorie certainly seemed to enjoy herself.

Commercial time…

Back...Analeigh points out how drunk Marjorie is.  Marjorie is in the tub with one of the models but she has her clothes on.  The cute one pulls Analeigh away.  They don’t understand why Analeigh is wanting Marjorie out of the tub and why she cares.  um yeah... Analeigh doesn’t want Marjorie to make a fool of herself buddy.  Too late.  Sam then steps up and tells them they all have to leave now.  Then McKey steps forward and says she’ll pull them out by their trousers.  Go girls for kicking them out when it got too messy!

Analeigh is so cute - she's a good friend.

McKey is going to lay the smack down! Hahaha! She could have kicked his ass too! Marjorie should feel lucky that the other girls care like that.

Analeigh puts Marjorie to bed. 

Morning!  Marjorie I don’t think has any idea what happened last night.  She was happy people were drinking and having fun.  Hahaha that’s awesome. She’s not even really hung over.  She may still be drunk..she looks very happy. You should move to Amsterdam Marjorie.  We like happy Marjorie. 

Happy Marjorie is definitely better than nervous Marjorie, although I can't help but feel like she is just trying too hard. Just be yourself!

The girls get in their limo bus and drive to a windmill farm and see Mr Jay.  They are by windmills.  He says that they have to bring it up in this photo shoot since there are only four of them left.

The girls get big poofy hairdos and crazy eye make-up.  Their photographer for the shoot is Barrie Hullegie. 

Uggh - I would hate to have my hair teased like that...

First up Analeigh – she does well.   Mr Jay is impressed.  He was impressed with how dynamic she was and how she tried a bunch of different things.  She jumps up and down and does fun poses.

Love her!

Marjorie is up – she kinda just stands there.  The photographer tells her to start moving.  Marjorie doesn’t do very well in the clogs they are making her wear.  Mr Jay tells her she looks crazy like she’s high or drunk or something.  Hahahaha  Marjorie giggles.  Mr Jay says s"he was awkward and was unmotivating".  Mr Jay ends with reminding her she needs to step up her game at presenting herself at judging. 

In contrast to Analeigh, Marjorie looks like she's stiff as a board. She was so awkward, it was hard to watch. She looked so crazy though - maybe she was still drunk?

Samantha is up – she has a crazy outfit.  She acts all crazy before her photo-shoot.  Mr Jay tells her not to lock her knee back.  Photographer tells her to watch her face.  Mr Jay asks her what’s wrong.  She says it’s the clogs..and the photographer points out it shows in her face.  Mr Jay tells her to keep it interesting.  Mr Jay is frustrated.  I feel bad for her.  Then she does well.  Sam thinks she sucked really bad.  She cries to the make-up artist.  Awww I feel bad for Sam.  You shouldn’t have asked Marjorie if it sucked to be in the bottom two because I think you will be there this week!  Awww she just needs a little more guidance…that’s all..she should have one more week. 

Sam does a good job contrasting her personality with her photo shoots. Her shoes hurt, but she should have been able to deal with it. It's not forever, just ignore it!

McKey is up  - I hardly recognize her with her crazy hair and make-up.  She works the chain.  She impresses Mr Jay by climbing on the windmill and trying everything.  Yeah she pretty much rocked it.

McKey's eye make-up is awful. It's too white on the bottom. Her photo shoot is really good though, but we were all expecting that. Jay calls her 'genius' - wow.

That’s it – we are now back at the house.

Sam is still bummed about her photo-shoot.  She knows she messed up.      Marjorie is now drinking more wine…she knows she needs to look relaxed at panel..so she drinks!  Holy crap – she’s getting drunk before panel! Hahaha this is awesome...I can’t wait!

Sam hasn't taken her eye make-up off yet and it looks a little intense when she's in her normal clothes.

Marjorie is hitting the bottle again - good for her!

Panel time:

Holy McKey short shorts!  Long legs! 

McKey is wearing an odd outfit again.
 
Tyra goes over the prizes. Blah blah blah.  Then she goes over the judges.  Paulina, Nigel, Miss Jay and the editor of Seventeen, Ann. 

Critiques:

McKey - They LOVE her outfit.  Miss Jay says it’s “fantastical”  haha great – I will use that tomorrow.  Fantastical.  I want long legs like that!   I think she was born to model short shorts!   They like her shoot.  Her face and legs..they love it.  Tyra says her signature is strength but about femininity at the same time.

Oh, I hated her outfit. Clearly I am not ANTM material.

Marjorie – they congratulate her on winning this week’s challenge.  They point out how unusual the picture is.  Paulina says it looks like a UFO looked like it just beamed her down.  Tyra wasn’t impressed - Tyra looks mad.  Nigel points out how  Marjorie looks sad.  Tyra said the opposite of nerves is not boring and that it’s important to still have something.

I liked Marjorie's picture. It's odd and colorful and she's totally out of place.

Samantha –She doesn’t look like a model in person at all in person…but they love her photo.  Yea!    Tyra points out how she struggled on the shoot.

She does dress too much in a street style I think.

Analeigh – they like the suspenders she’s wearing.  Nigel thinks Analeigh has the best picture of the bunch.  They chose the one of her jumping.  They LOVE it.  

I LOVE it!

Time for the judges to deliberate.  Which one will be swept away by the wind and being sent back to America?

The judges go over the models:

Analeigh – They love her.  I do too…she’s my favorite

Yeah, me too.

Samantha – they point out how she’s consistently good in pictures.  They are worried the photo-shoot took so long to get a good picture today though.  They aren’t impressed when she comes into panel.

Tyra makes fun of Sam's accent - yeah I know.. not good.

 Marjorie – They think she’s strong editorially.  They point out how she lost her nerves but lost her charm.  How it went out the window.  They don’t like her new personality.  Hahaaha they don’t know she’s drunk!

She wasn't drunk at panel though was she?

McKey – they love her eyes and lips.  They love the picture. She always looks like a model in her photos.

She does, it's true. Although in this one her eye make-up really scared me.

They have reached a decision.  Four girls stand before Tyra but Tyra only has three photos in her hands.  Those photos represent  the girls that are still in the running  in hopes of becoming America's Next Top Model.

The first name she calls will be the girl who had the best photo of the bunch.  The photo will be displayed as digital art in the house.

First named called is…

Analeigh (YEA!!!!)

McKey

Sam and Marjorie are in the bottom two!  I think it’ll be Marjorie.  I think they’ll keep Sam.  They step forward.  Tyra only has one photo in her hands.  She’ll only call one name.  The name of the girl she doesn’t call will have to leave immediately and pack their bags and go home.  Tyra points out how Marjorie takes some of the most high fashion photos.  Her film this week was flat though.  They see a girl that doesn’t understand balance.  One minute she’s a jittery mess and is now almost a mute…boring.  They say she lost the essence of herself.  Samantha they say just doesn’t get it.  How can a girl still not understand what it means to look like a model..to stand like a model and project that.  They say her film was weak and there’s no excuse for that.  The girl that stays in the competition is…..Samantha!!!!  Woo whoo – Marjorie is going home. 

We all kind of knew it was Marjorie's time though; her nerves are too much and although she took really good photos, and no one is disputing that, she just wasn't a model. Analeigh is so upset - awwww. I think Marjorie brought a lot to the competition and added a different layer to it, but like she said 'she went as far as she could' so she knew it was kind of time to go. She did take some amazing photos though - really nice.

Tyra gives her a big hug.  Marjorie doesn’t even really cry yet since she’s still drunk.  Analeigh is sad she’s leaving. ..so she’s crying.  Marjorie then breaks down when she sees Analeigh..they both cry and cry like they are breaking up.  Then she hugs Sam and McKey.  Marjorie tells the camera she is disappointed.  And points out she is a Libra. Hah I’m a Libra but I’m not that out of whack!  I might be indecisive but that’s about it!

I'm a Capricorn - I don't know what my sign means really - I think we are steady and dependable and over-achieving! Hahaha!

Next Week….We are down to the top three.  Samantha, McKey and Analeigh!
Two will walk a fierce runway.  Only one will become America’s Next Top Model!
Season Finale is next.  Stay tuned!

Only three left!! Crazy!! Preview for next week was vague, but that runway looks seriously cool! I want to walk on a runway like that (not that I ever will). Stay tuned!
