America's Next Top Model - Cycle 11 - Episode 6 Review

We begin

We are at the house and the girls see bitchy Clark’s face displayed on the plasma TV in the house.  We see her being cocky…barf..go away..it’s the beginning of the show and you’re already getting on my nerves.

I hated when Clark said 'oh it's just so lonely being on top' uggh, shut up already! I hate you!

Then they are in the kitchen girls ask Clark how it feels to see herself on the TV…they don’t really care..they are just being nice.  We then see Samantha..she is still a little shaken up from the panel last week..she was in the bottom two.  She’s trying to think positive all the time she says.  She’s hoping to stay…I like her…She’s one of my top picks right now. 

She is for me too, mostly because I am just super jealous of her hair though. I could never pull off a look like that.

Then we have beautiful hair girl Analeigh and nervous chihuahua Marjorie getting ready for bed in the bathroom. Marjorie talks about her doubts.  She says she’s not nervous…what??? Are you kidding?  Look in the mirror Marjorie you have the worst nerves ever!

I hate that picture of Tyra as a mailman and how everyone screams when they get mail - so annoying!

Clark says something with fit and working with what you got…ok shut up we don’t like you.

Not at all.

I wish the camera man didn’t think we wanted to hear her thoughts.  Then we have Joslyn talking on the phone..she’s always soo happy and I feel so bad for her at this point. She’s so disappointed in herself..I think it’s her mom on the other end..she trys to consol her. Awww Joslyn we don’t want to see you sad..you are always miss happy cheerleader all the time.  We need you.

It was her sister, who gave her the oh so great advice of 'try harder'. Um yeah thanks, that's so helpful (sarcastic eye roll). Actually Joslyn doesn't deserve to be there anymore in my opinion - she's not that good and is totally insane I think!

Photo shoot time.  We see Paulina come down with dramatic music in an elevator in some warehouse. She comes out in an ugly old lady periwinkle suit. She says this is what you could wear doing catalog work.

I thought she looked totally skanky in that outfit -why was she pulling it up like that?

Girls go into hardhats and tool-belts..I’m confused..Paulina you didn’t make much sense.  The girls come out…Ooh they come out in cute construction hats..hot pink..i I like! They have bags with shoulder pads and random objects. Basically they have 5 min to get into clothes that are assigned to them and then have to find tools in their bag to make the outfit fit better. Basically this is like a MacGyver challenge..what can you do with duct tape girls?.  After trying to put their outfits on Paulina will will decide who does the best job when they model their outfit.  Oh these clothes are ugggly. My my . Marjorie is trying to act normal but let’s face it ..you’re not…what is normal? Different from different…that’s what my roommates kid said yesterday..so yeah..stop with the nerves.

Ha! I think there was no hope with those clothes - is that what people really model in catalogs nowadays? I mean, I'm not a middle aged woman so I don't get catalogs, but really? Are these garments still acceptable to buy?

Evaluation time:

Analeigh – ugly maroon dress…Paulina says she did nice with her belt creation thing. 

I thought it was brown?

Mckey – ugly shirt..she clothes pinned her pants to make them fit smart thinking McKey.

Clark – barf.  She tried to make it fit but she didn’t do it tight enough. You suck Clark . face it you’re not cool. Go home…

Yeah, bye!

Josyln – not hideous . not good but she smiles anyway

Lauren – Paulina likes that she added two water bottles and a pin

Sheena – whoa! Paulina says “for being our little resident sex pot – you got the I’m not sexy at all outfit”…harsh Paulina…geeesh! 

I like Sheena - I think the judges shouldn't be so hard on her

Elina – has issues because she didn’t pull out her shirt. Yeah weird

Samantha – she doesn’t like how short her shorts are. She rolled up the pants and Paulina wasn’t impressed. Said the lady would be disappointed if she ordered pants and got shorts.I feel bad..she tried.

Yeah, the shorts looked way better rolled up anyway

Marjorie - said she should have stuffed her pants and points out how she didn’t clip her pants. Paulina isn’t impressed

She looked like she didn't even do anything though - just put the clothes on and said 'ok, I'm ready!'

And the winner is…..who did the best job???….she points out that Marjorie looks like she’s going to throw up from how upset she’s acting.  Marjorie do you not remember the little pep talk you had with yourself and the camera? You said you weren’t nervous and could act normal. Now you are about to cry and hurdle and Paulina calls you out on it.

We cut to a commercial break.

K back – she is asking if she’s ok and if she’s having a horrible time? Paulina asks everyone if they know what her little meltdown is about.  They say nerves..duh.. So Paulina asks what her great fear is. So Marjorie tries to talk and says she’s uncomfortable and has a rejection impulse and is again uncomfortable. Paulina tries to stick up for her and explain it..says it’s a European thing.  .

Having lived in Europe I can back this up, but really it's not just a Europe thing - it's a young woman thing. A lot of the girls on the show have an unusually high self-esteem, but most of us are like Marjorie - we are insecure. This is not a new revelation, but everyone is acting like it is. This confuses me.

Paulina then tells us the winner will win 50 extra frames in the next photo shoot. This will give the winner an advantage over the others. So she’s says the one that botched it was Samantha..and the winner of the challenge is…McKey. Yea!!!! we like you…she won for the clothes pins idea..yea you!  

I like her a lot actually - and she did a great job!

The girls leave.  Back at the house.  TYRA MAIL…screaming…ughhh stop

Elina reads something about are you a force of nature a devastating beauty or a total disaster.  Girls assume it has something to do with a natural disaster.  Marjorie talks to the camera again. She doesn’t know what a natural disaster really looks like…this girl needs tome guidance.

I can't belive she actually said that - there are some things you shouldn't say on TV - that is just one of many.

Now she’s all pushing her negativity to the girls..they are sick of her nerves..yeah I am too you shouldn't be here…get some social skills girl..self-confidence.. I’m so tired of her negativity and worrying like a nervous chihuahua. Too much. Samantha is annoyed..Marjorie says if she didn’t want to be here she wouldn’t be stressing about it. Samantha thinks Marjorie over thinks..yeah..it’s annoying Samantha. Marjorie gets mad. Clark think’s she’s going to fall soon.

I think Samantha should shut up at this point - she is too much with her peppiness and confidence - go sit in a corner and shut up or something

Commercial time.

Yeah Marjorie I would like you better if you weren’t so spazzed out all the time.

Agreed

Clark I don’t like..but at least she isn’t all nervous..you have no self confidence  and Clark has tooooo much..you need a happy medium between those two. You are so pretty ..yet you are the most annoying person on here now.  Hannah from Alaska left last week.  Thank God – but now you are the most annoying and really getting on my nerves.  

Except no one is as annoying as Hannah from Alaska

Back.  Girls arrive at a studio …lights start to flicker like a storm..and oh dear God..someone comes out in a costume…this is what I was afraid of ..pure cheese…and then we find out it’s just Jay..really..? We couldn’t guess…this is their favorite part…this cheesy ass part of the show.   The Jay’s love dress up …but this cycle your dress up themes have been horrible. He talks about coming through and making an impact ..that’s all I paid attention too..the costume was too much so I stopped paying attention.

I can't believe how awful that was, and how the girls all stood around screaming, and Samantha was like 'oh I was so scared!'. Really? You've got to be kidding. I couldn't even wrap my head around that. Jay looked like some demented sea creature on steroids.

Stylist says he’s going to do the girls with 60’s fashion and they'll shoot a natural disaster…ok cool

Love the fashion

First up is..

Elina – she gets “earthquake” hmmm Jay says to let it out...she does alright…I guess

She annoys me

Sheena  - “sandstorm”  She did a variety of poses.

I thought she did a great job - a bit too much sand throwing though

Clark – “black out” says she’s feeling confident..yeah you’re in love with yourself.  Jay says she’s not committing 100% and asks if that makes sense…hahaha..Clark then tries flirting with Jay..helloo..he’s gay..this flirting of yours won’t work this time.

Nope

Lauren – “snowstorm” does stuff with snow. 

Boring

Joslyn – “rockslide” Tried doing different poses.  Jay isn’t impressed this time. 

Her photos look bad, just bad

Analeigh –“Santa Ana winds” She does well. Why didn’t they let her hair down with all that wind? She has the best hair…I’m jealous..but they put it back on this shoot.

McKey –“heat wave” She gets extra frames since she won the challenge. Her make-up scares me in this one.  She sure does a lot of frames.  Jay doesn’t think she needed them. She had like two amazing shoots back to back he said.

She looked hot - temperature wise, not attractive..

Samantha – “tidal wave” Jay likes her energy and her creativity. She does lots of stuff with water.  I think you did well Sam. Hang in there!

Yeah she did splash around well - I would have been a mess if asked to do this - maybe I am not creative?

Marjorie – “traffic jam” ooh I don’t even recognize her..she’s in a blonde wig and looks so great! She’s pumped she says. Jay says she looks like a broken Barbie doll at one point.  Marjorie isn’t going to take this criticism well Jay… we’ll have to hear her boo hoo hoo to the camera about how crappy she did. Marjorie says she feels like a fool. She of course doesn’t handle it well. Cameras are on her now. Samantha is talking to her and tries to say she did amazing but of course we know she’s super annoyed and jus trying to be nice.

Marjorie says she feels deflated. Marjorie Marjorie I think you need some happy pills…seriously..get you some help! You’re reallllllly annoying me with all your self pity.  Get some freakin confidence or like Hannah from Alaska said ““you pick up your beans and you keep on rolling!” didn’t you listen?  Shake the nerves off already

I don't think Samantha was trying to be nice - it was a fake nice where you say something but you know the other person is going to feel down - not that I know how to do that of course

Commercial time.

Back. It’s Morning time.  Clark talks about how she’s number one in this competition. You cocky beeotch…shut up. Marjorie of course is a wreck in bed. She asks Joslyn how she’s doing. Joslyn is happy..even though she’s scared…Marjorie do that…don’t let your fears affect your mood with others.  Fake it.  Put a smile on your face and just believe in yourself already. 

Great pep talk Steph - I think it's harder said than done though - maybe I am too negative. So I am negative and not creative... hmmm

Judgment time – the go over prizes. Yeah yeah we all know the prizes. Let’s get to the critiques. Guest judge is the photographer from their photo shoot this week.

Marjorie is first – she of course..looks…NERVOUS. Paulina likes her photo..she tries to boost up her ego..which let’s be honest ..needs some boosting.  Says she needs to take chances more.

Lauren – Paulina says she has to do more to reach the next level.  

I'm bored of her

Samantha – they like it..I think she looks like Twiggy in this one.

That's what I thought too!

Clark –says she got stuck on pretty and not thinking of blackout..hahaha..yeah see you’re not all that

No, her photo was not good

Elina – they like. Ok whatever. I still don’t like this one

Sheena – they don’t like her outfit. She has some weird cap on and a pink top. Gross. Nigel likes the shot. 

I liked it - no hooch at least!

Analeigh – she’s pretty. They liked her film

Loved her make-up

Joslyn – she’s all happy when she walks up to the judges..they say she looks like she’s slipping. Oh no I think she may be in trouble. I feel bad for her. She’s so happy all the time but now you can see she’s really scared and sad.

Her photo looked like some bad 80s dance move - sorry, but just awful

McKey – Nigel doesn’t like it. Tyra likes it.  

I like it - Tyra and I are definitely the same ;)

Deliberation time…when she calls them back she will announce which one will have to go home. Who do you think it’s going to be?  Make your picks right now…I won’t tell you mine in case you think I’m cheating and may already know the answer. 

Commercial time.

Back. They they are deliberating.  Too fast for me to type it all out…but they are deliberating…again…more deliberating…and more deliberating….ok time for the models to come out. 

I think it's so silly when Tyra and Miss J act out what they think the girls should be doing - it looks so bad!

Tyra only has 8 photos in her hand. First name she calls will be what the judges consider the best photo. Digital art will be displayed in the house.

Bottom two are Joslyn and Clark…hahaha Clark..yes…poor Josyln though. I hope it’s not her but I think it might be. Clark won’t go yet.  I’d like her to but I don’t think so. They talk about how Josyln’s photos started so strong and how she had so much fire and spark – but it drizzled away and the judges wonder if she’s losing her fire. Clark started off ok but got stronger and how she delivered the best photo last week – now they look at her work and say she did good and not fantastic.  They are neck and neck with their photo shoots but...Joslyn’s personality got her by Tyra says..hahahaha yes yes yes yes yes!!! Clark the cocky beeotch is going home. Yea ANTM!!! I didn’t think it’d happen..I was wrong…see better attitudes do get you further in life.  Says how she has to get out of the pretty thing and has to push. Clark is crying. I don’t really feel bad for her.  No I don’t ..I know that’s mean but come on now…she’s so cocky and in love with herself.  But she did say this has been the best experience of her life. I give her credit I guess for that…at least she didn’t humiliate herself too much at the end.

I didn't feel bad for Clark either. Although I was confused when she came back on to the screen and was talking about her time on ANTM and she was wearing some bad plastic crown. Why? It made no sense whatsoever! You are not queen of anything! Ok, that was mean, I am sorry. But she really annoyed me with her 'holier than thou' attitude. I guess we don't have to put up with it anymore! Yay!

Preview for next week- time for Tyra to teach the girls the art posing or something.  Elina has to deal with her control issues… this reminds me. I may not be here to write this next week. So Amy will do next week and we’ll have to catch up when I get back.  Stay tuned with the latest reviews on our ANTM channel!
