America's Next Top Model (ANTM) Cycle 12 Episode 5 'Put your best face forward'

The show opens with the always fabulous ANTM theme song (Allison is still my favourite)

The girls arrive back from panel and Sandra sees her picture and immediately says 'I look hot' and 'I'm better than all other girls'. Tahlia thinks it's not that great ad expresses that to her roomates. She is still homesick but she wants to stay.

Then the doorbell rings and in comes Tocarra (remember her from a previous cycle?) and she announces that they are going to have a pyjama party! (every boy's dream). Tocarra gives a lot of advice about personality as 'it's the personality that counts'. She makes each of the girls say about their personality.

Kortnie says she is an old man comedian trapped in a curvy girl's body (um.. ok)

Tahlia is inspired by Tocarra and she wants to be an inspiration too.

The girls then start on how Sandra did not get the best photo but Sandra isn't fazed by their judgement.

Before Tocarra leaves the next morning she gives them a pep talk about personality and then she takes off.

'If you can't move to the music then that might pose a problem'...

The girls arrive at 'The Marquee' and out comes Benny Ninja posing at the top of the stairs. Sky Nellor is with him and the girls are going to learn how to use music to motivate their posing. Benny poses to the music and then it's the girls' turn.

Sandra and London go first - London does well, Sandra is too selfish

Allison and Natalie - Allison just dances

Teyona and Fo - they are too literal

Kortnie and Celia - Kortnie is too stiff

Aminat and Tahlia - Aminat does well, but Tahlia thinks too much

Benny tells the girls they have to believe in themselves.

The girls go back to the house and discuss what happened. Allison says she is so shy that she has trouble with the posing.

'Practice your posin if you want to be chosen'

The girls arrive at 'The Mansion' and Benny is there again. He tells them of their challenge: to pose for drag queens in David Blond designs. The girls will then have a final pose off to determine the winner.

The girls get ready and they look... lovely?

The crowd arrives and you can tell the girls are nervous.

Benny opens the show and announces the girls for the Model pose off. The audience is the judge.

Allison is first and she gets a lot of cheers at first, but not for long.

Teyona does well

Kortnie is booed off

Sandra complains about her shoes and is booed off right away

Celia is cheered and loved by the crowd

Celia wins this heat!

Aminat is ok, but boring

London is booed quickly

Tahlia is booed really quickly

Natalie does well

Fo is ok

Natalie wins!!

So now it's a pose off between Celia and Natalie. Celia does well and the audience loves her more.

Celia wins the competition!

Back at the house Tahlia is really upset about what happened and says she wants to go home. She isn't sure if she should throw in the towel now. Celia does not have any sympathy for her at all.

'Models aren't the only ones who migrate to New York to make their dreams come true'

The girls get ready for their photo shoot but they don't know what's going on. Tahlia is still upset and 'fed up' and she complains to Celia (wrong person to complain to). Celia thinks that she should just leave then.

Jay is at the photo shoot and the girls are near the Statue of Liberty and they are going to be reinventing the shots of immigrants coming to the US using old-fashioned film. Benny is going to be in the shot as well. Brian Edwards is their photographer.

The girls have to hold their poses for ages as it's old film. Kids are in the shot as well.

Sandra is first and she's really stiff.

Fo does quite well and she seems to enjoy it.

London is channeling Kate Winslet from Titanic.

Natalie does well; lots of variation

Teyona is good

Kortnie wants to make her ancestors proud but Jay is not feeling it at all.

Tahlia does really well actually and Jay says she has grown since week 1

Celia is all over the place but it looks good

Aminat is not using her face enough and it's too boring

Allison is in love with the camera and Jay likes her shoot too.

Back at the house the girls get Tyra Mail about the panel the next day. Lots of worried faces. Sandra is worried about the judging but she thinks Tahlia should go home. However, Celia is on a mission - she wants Tahlia to go home if she doens't want to be there.

Commercial

Panel - they go over prizes.. blah blah blah...

Benny Ninja is the guest judge

Teyona's picture was really good

London - she looked really short and was the only one looking off

Sandra - her picture is too much in profile and she looked disconnected

Allison - her picture is adorable but she looks like an older sister

Aminat - her picture is really good and Benny says she's a natural

Fo - too similar to London

Natalie - thinks she looks like Keira Knightley

Kortnie - Benny calls her 'sour'

Tahlia - the judges love it and Nigel says it's the best picture he's seen so far.

Celia - upstaged in the photo by the girl standing behind her

The judges will now decide who will go home

Commercial

The judges deliberate. They think Sandra is so boring. They love Allison still but think Kortnie is too confused about what she is doing. They love Tahlia's picture so much, but they think that Natalie lacks personality.

They have reached a decision. Tyra only has 9 photos in her hands.

It is down to Kortnie and Sandra. Tyra says that both of them are really pretty. Kortnie is alert in person but not in her pictures. Sandra relies too much on being pretty and Benny said her performance was the worst.

Sandra stays!

Kortnie has to go home. But wait, Celia steps up and says that Tahlia said she did not want to be in this competition anymore and Celia says how unfair it is. Tyra says that what Celia is doing is unfair and the judges decision stands. Celia looks ashamed.

Kortnie goes home with her head held high.

Tune in next week when Celia realizes what she did was wrong and the girls start fighting A LOT!!
