America's Next Top Model - Cycle 14 Episode 4 Review (S014EP4)
Cycle 14 Episode 4 of America's Next Top Model 'America's Next Top Vampire' aired Wednesday on the CW Network at 8pm PST.
ANTM is back for another cycle with 13 more girls vying to be America's Next Top Model.
If you want to catch up on any ANTM news, see our channel.
The Episode Begins:
Brenda is talking about being in the bottom two and she is looking forward to her next make-over as she thinks she's having an identity crisis. They get Tyra Mail in the car and still Anslee is talking about how much she has given up to be on the show (yeah we know, everyone has... duh).
The girls arrive at a location with Miss Jay waiting for them and introduces them to the Upright Citizens Brigade (please not that Benny guy again from the other cycles). Thankfully for us, it is not that Benny guy but new improv actors and they show the models how to actually act and react on cue.
The main guy then picks Brenda to go up on stage (oh joy) and she has to change a tire using the emotion shocked. Miss Jay backstage says that Brenda did not do a good job with shocked.
Alasia did a better job with the energy, but she had to act excited and that's not a stretch for her.
Simone sucks at the depressed emotion, talk about a drama queen.
Anslee is paranoid while washing a car and as Angelea says 'Anslee was a hot mess.'
Back at the house Anslee is hating on Alasia for getting the best picture last week because she is really jealous.
Sally Hershberger drops by the house to re-cut Brenda's hair and says she might even buzz cut her hair - Brenda almost dies from the shock and trauma of it all.
Sally takes a razor to Brenda's hair and she looks like she is in pain. Her hair looks so different and I'm not sure if it's better or worse than before. Perhaps worse.
That night the girls arrive in Times Square to see a giant Cover Girl ad on one of the screens.
Then there is a massive Cover Girl ad and then Dania Ramirez (Heroes) appears in person and tells them that they have to do a challenge where they have to make a 30-second commercial for Cover Girl Clean makeup and it's going to be a commercial. They don't have to say anything, but they have to portray a 'Cover Girl image' (whatever that is) to a voice over.
The ad will show on the screen in Times Square live (eek!), which is very scary so that everyone can judge them on the spot. They do their own makeup and wardrobe and then they are ready.
Most of the girls are over the top and dramatic and Tatianna does the best job I think, as even though she is over the top, she looks the most like a Cover Girl commercial that you would see on TV.
Dania critiques them, basically telling them they suck, and Anslee blames it on the fact that she couldn't hear Dania at the beginning (oh boo hoo, cry us a river).
Tatianna wins! Yay she should have, she was the best.
Back at the apartment, Anslee is once again complaining and being a big cow towards Alasia about some food in the fridge. I don't like Alasia either, but Anslee is way worse. Alasia mentions Anslee's daughter and she absolutely freaks out, yelling, screaming, crying and slapping the kitchen counter. The claws are out...
Next is the vampire themed photo shoot that is oh so original (not, obviously joking) and then Jay comes out dressed as some blinged out plastic vampire with weird eyes and the girls find out they are going to be blind during the shoot as they have to wear these crazy contacts.
Brenda of course is nervous. What a surprise.
The girls then find out they are going to be in a bath of blood, which is actually kind of cool, and all the girls are scared except for Tatianna who is a volunteer mortician (weird, but also interesting).
Angelea is first and she looks so freaky but her shoot is not bad.
Alasia is good and she looks nothing like the shrieking girl we saw last night.
Alexandra also does well and impresses Jay. I like her.
Krista is ok but gets better.
Jessica is being too sweet but then gets a bit too porn-star like. She's still my fav though.
Brenda is backstage meanwhile putting the contacts in and she's afraid they are going to get 'lost' in her eye, um, they can't get lost. But then Brenda starts to cry and I feel kind of bad for her, as putting contacts in your eye for the first time is weird. Jay gives her a pep talk though and then the hot model guy holds her hand and she does so much better. I actually really like her shoot.
Tatianna is next and she loves blood as well all know so she does a good job and just bathes in the blood. It's kind of sick actually.
Raina is awesome.
Anslee is ok (although it pains me to say it because she is so awful).
Simone is next and she is so boring it's depressing. The photographer hates her pretty much. Jay says it looks like she just gave birth (ewww).
Back at the house they get some Tyra Mail that tells them they are going to meet with the judges the next day. Everyone looks nervous, except for Anslee who if so over confident it's scary.
Simone thinks she did ok, but Brenda is nervous about how her pictures came out.
It's judging time!
Tatianna is first. Her photo is good, but Andre calls it too typical with the pose.
Alasia's photo is really great, and Anslee could not be more upset.
Simone's photo is not good, it's mannequin like as Nigel said.
Angelea's photo is ok, but she doesn't show enough neck. Andre calls it 'dreckitude' though.
In Krista's photo, her face is too tense and scrunched up.
Raina's photo is good; it's angry, I like it.
In Alexandra's photo there is a lot romance and it's cool, although it may be the same pose as she usually does.
Brenda's photo is so good, except for her legs as they are a bit awkward.
Anslee is wearing some hideous tacky shirt, then she tells Dania that she could not hear her in Times Square - big mistake. Her photo is not good and she blames the photographer for telling her to grab the tub. When will these girls learn, you never blame anyone else on ANTM, we all know that!
The judges then deliberate and Tyra once again shows us to take take a deep breath. But they do finally make a decision.
The girls still in the running to be America's Next Top Model are:
It's down to Simone and Anslee. Tyra says that Anslee has great bone structure but her last few shoots have fallen flat. She then says that Simone has such strong potential but she does not push enough and looks stuck. Anslee gets to stay - what!??? That is crap, Simone should have stayed in my opinion, why Anslee got to stay is beyond me. Oh well, I guess we can expect more drama in the house next week at least.
