Bringing an end to the music extravaganza that's the Glastonbury Festival, Beyonce Knowles closed out the annual event in Glastonbury, UK on Sunday (June 26).

The 29-year-old beauty commanded the Pyramid stage as she treated the audience to a lineup of past hits and new songs from her upcoming album "4" while also joined by special guest Tricky Stewart.

During her set, Miss Knowles thanked the audience for their support, saying, "I want you all to know right now you're witnessing my dream. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for having me and my band tonight."

She continued, "I always wanted to be a rock star and tonight we are all rock stars. I want you to forget about your worries, forget about your troubles. I want you to get lost in this music tonight. I want to make beautiful memories and be free tonight."

For Beyonce, the performance at Glastonbury was a true milestone not only for her but for all other women as well. According to omg!, the Grammy-winning singer is now the first female to ever headline the festival's main stage.

And though some fans were reportedly upset with the choice of her as the closer, Glastonbury founder and organizer Michael Eavis had no doubts about his selection.

Prior to the show, he told press, "She's going to be brilliant. She's got plenty of support - she has Jay Z with her, and Chris Martin and Gwyneth [Paltrow]. She'll do very well, I'm sure."

Last week (June 20) Beyoncé treated her French fans to a memorable evening as she took over the Palais Nikala in Nice, France.

Among the selections on the set list were hits like "Telephone," "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)," "End of Time," "Baby Boy," and "Halo."

Following her gigs in Glastonbury and Nice, the R&B/hip-hop singer will return to France for two more shows in Lille and Amneville.

And aside from her tour efforts, Beyonce recently perfected the follow-up scent to her perfumes Heat and Heat Rush.

In an exclusive interview with People she told, "Pulse is a fragrance you can wear all the time. I love the idea of a signature scent that lets a woman leave her mark wherever she goes, so I always try to make my scents appropriate for any occasion."

The scent comes in an upside-down chrome-and-blue bottle with a chrome cap, inspired by B's stage costumes and hits stores in September.
