Burger King Meat Monster Attacks Japan
Burger King Meat Monster Debuts in Japan
Imagine a burger made with three kinds of meat. Beef. Chicken. Bacon. This meat monster is a reality in Japan, and it's called... the Meat Monster.
Burger King is using Japan as the Meat Monster's initial stomping ground, seeing how a cosmopolitan public reacts to something that's the diametric opposite of vegan. The Meat Monster costs just under $10. This embodiment of fast-food excess consists of two Whopper patties, two slices of cheese*, a Chicken Tendergrill patty**, and three strips of bacon.
Burger King is new again to Japan, having returned in 2007 after a six-year absence. "Have it your way" more than a slogan in Japan: it's an invitation to build a meat skyscraper. A protein behemoth. Dare I say... a cheeseburger Gamera.

*They call it cheese, anyway.
** What part of the chicken is the "patty", exactly?

Japanese tend to have the longest life spans of anyone.
Is that why fast food companies don't mind introducing the most unhealthy options there first as a testing ground?
