If you have a turkey related question you can call 1-800-BUTTERBALL or e-mail them at talkline@butterball.com but as it is Thanksgiving already, it is probably best that you just call. However, be prepared to wait, as they are probably very busy today.

One of the most common questions asked involves the cooking instructions for a turkey as you don't want to overcook or undercook your bird.
According to Butterball Turkey, even the smallest bird will take at least two-and-a-half hours unstuffed, and if it is stuffed then it will take even longer.
They have provided a step-by-step guide on how to roast your turkey, including a video, so you shouldn't have any trouble getting your turkey just right.
While there are many recipes out there about how to make the perfect roast turkey, we are a fan of deep-frying turkeys and this may be a new way for you to go this Thanksgiving.

Please let me know whether it would have been safe to eat a turkey according to this scenario: The 14 pound turkey was thawed in the frig. The turkey was then unwrapped and placed in a shallow baking pan. The family put the turkey in their car and drove 4 hours to visit family-the car being approximately room temp. The turkey was placed overnight in the garage due to frig. space issues. The approx outside temp was 40-so I believe the inside garage temp was probably higher. The turkey was prepared on Thanksgiving at about 11 am. What do you think? Would people eating this turkey have been in any danger of food poisoning? Also, 2 people over the age of 75 (with health issues) were going to consume this turkey, along with a pregnant woman. Please respond and let me know what was done incorrectly? Thanks
