Singer Christina Aguilera is rumoured to be the newest addition to the Topshop design team, as she may develop her very own fashion range for the UK retailer.  Philip Green, Topshop's owner, has reportedly asked the pop princess to design a collection for the store, which would be sold alongside Kate Moss' popular collections.

Aguilera, 28, is expected to receive at least 1 million pounds for the designs should the deal go through. Topshop also sells a collection by British supermodel Kate Moss.

Aguilera's designs will not replace Moss’ and both of the stars will continue to do separate collections.

“Philip loves her style and believes she would add something new to Topshop. Christina is the blond bombshell who is into pop whereas Kate is the rock chick and model. She’d appeal to a younger shopper than Kate,” said a source to Britain’s the Sunday Mirror newspaper.

Kate Moss just inked a contract with Topshop that will extend her time there for another three years, so any development with Aguilera would not jeopardize her position there.

I certainly hope not! I think it was a mistake keeping Moss on, too.

Christina, in my opinion the best singer in the world.
She has her own style. We all know that she is very good at reinventing herself. At first she showed us an innocent style in her first CD 'Christina Aguilera', later she changed completely (listen to her single 'Dirrty') and she showed us a Xtina very sexual. Then she dyed her hair like Marilyn and she changed again.

I think her designs will be beautiful, sexy, chic and obviously original.
