Comic-Con Dan Diego Kicks Off June 20, 2011: Come for the Movies, Stay for the Cosplay

Comic-Con San Diego 2011 officially runs June 21-24, but June 20 is Preview night.

The SDCC 2011 Preview Night Schedule includes a screening of the Alcatraz pilot, as well as a first look at Supernatural: The Anime Series. These will be of interest to fans of Hurley, and to those who know which one is Sam and which one is Dean, respectively.

Comic-Con is as much about movies and TV as it is about comics and collectibles: this is a huge opportunity for filmmakers and studios to connect to their main demographic. Thursday's obvious highlight will be when Spike TV's Deadliest Warrior crew tackles Vampires vs Zombies.
