Corporate Hipster launches (two days ago, but whatevs)

They may only have five members so far, but the Corporate Hipster social network is off and running.

Now you can create valuable professional relationships with fashion-conscious, fiscally responsible young folks with cool shoes. A hipster never calls himself a hipster, but a corporate hipster isn't afraid to keep it real.

Full disclosure: My friend James made the site.

ps. For more information, see the NowPublic post on Hipster Casual.

We're proud to bring you an online portal for Corporate Hipsters.

Well, what's a corporate hipster?

A corporate hipster is someone who goes out a lot to see shows, films, openings and really cares about fashion, but they also have a real job that they also care about.

Think you're a corporate hipster?

How many times to you go out this week vs. how many times did you show up late for work?
Do people say, "cool shoes" to you in the elevator on the way to your office?
Are you gainfully employed, but yet still stay ahead of the fashion curve?

If you answered yes to any of the above, you're on the right track.

I will be carefully doodling 'meh' in the sandbox of this online playground for the biz-casual elite.

Hey hipsters. If you happen to use my photo for anything, credit it to me or my flickr page. I need all the views I can get.

my friend is a total corporate hipster - the key being that he would never say that he is though bc that is hugely uncool. he also drinks local brews. that type of thing.
