Today Chad and I ran barefoot for 1.45 miles. We got a lot of strange looks but it was interesting and it seemed to work different muscles. My quads usually hurt the worst but today it's my calves.
The funny thing is normally I can't run the 1.45 all the way without giving up due to endurance or leg strength. In fact yesterday I went out and ended up running MAYBE a mile, barely, while Chad meanwhile ran 1.9 miles.
So, I am not sure if I can attribute that to the barefootedness, the red bull that I had at lunch, the lunch itself (beef hot dog with typical picnic side dishes) or maybe the Red Robin garlic fries last night? Who knows.
