While Leibovitz shoots often for Vanity Fair, she has done covers for Vogue in the past - and the Conde Nast publication publicly expressed an interest in securing the future First Lady for their cover months ago.

Celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz, famous for her Vanity Fair spreads, could be photographing Barack Obama today at the Hay-Adams Hotel.

At 8:15 a.m, "Leibovitz and her entourage (first spotted by Bloomberg eagle-eye Julianna Goldman) emerge from an SUV and slip into a security tent in front of President-elect Obama's hotel," according to a pool report.

Leibovitz previously photographed Obama for a Vogue profile that was published in September 2007.

I haven't been a fan of her latest works, especially the portraits of the Queen – ugh! Not sure how you can make the Queen look photoshopped, but Annie did it.

On March 4, 2008 I was fortunate enough to have access into the VIP gate for Obama's speech during Texas Primary day in San Antonio, TX. I hope to add more pictures from Inauguration Day in Washington, DC, in the near future to my Flickr account at:
