Are You a Doctor Who Fan Who Saw David Tennant at Catherine Tate's Play Thursday Night?

Tate's show Under the Blue Sky was disrupted by sonic screwdriver wielding Who-ers that got excited and started singing the Doctor Who theme tune when they spotted David Tennant in the audience, that's what.

"Fans had heard he was going to watch former Doctor Who star Catherine, so they turned up in force, complete with props "He was very charming and friendly with them during the interval, but he was rightly disgusted when they disrupted her performance by singing the show's music and waving their sonic screwdrivers.

"Catherine is a pro, so she ignored them. But  David knew the only way to stop them was by getting up and leaving."

YOU AREN'T FANS. You're embarrassments, abominations, unfit and unnecessary. Get yourselves a life - one each if possible - but don't ever call yourself a Doctor Who fan.

That's the last thing you are!

Ok so everyone out there please remember that this is only a blog!

If you were one of the people who made a big to do over Tennant popping in to see Under the Blue Sky, the play Tate is doing in the West End, I want you to never ever go to the theatre again.

What you did was unseemly and inappropriate.

People pay perfectly good money to go to the theatre, and even in the West End, Doctor Who is not the be all and end all of all things.

You ruined people's evenings of theatre. Not cool.

So just stop it, and stop stalking the guy, okay? He's not really the Doctor, you know. He's not even a Doctor.

These are actual human beings who work for a living making entertainment. And while I'm at it, they've asked you nicely not to bring Star Trek: TNG and Doctor Who items to Stratford to be signed, please comply.

It's a TV show!

Are we done here then? Okay, we move on.

Don't take what is being said here too seriously because it's not REAL news or any kind of BIG TIME announcement.

Seriously though, you vented....good, I hope you feel better because it isn't going to change anything. People will still be people and will still mob him because, well he is so damn good at what he does. Hey David you'd better start being a crappy Doctor.

My understanding from what I had read elsewhere was that he was indeed mobbed - by paparazzi. I had heard other accounts saying that there were a few girls hanging about to get Catherine Tate's autograph, and they were shoved out of the way when David arrived by burly photographers keen to stick their cameras up Georgia's skirt.

Both my parents and my sister went, and they've said that noone mobbed him, they also, as the comment above says, paparazzi did.

If you want to write something like this, you could at least get your facts right, and not write like a retard and waste my time..

I don't believe everything I read, but somewhere else I read that the play doesn't have an interval so the story couldn't be true. Who knows what version is correct

Facts from someone who was there and saw David outside.

NOTHING happened in the theatre.

There is, indeed, NO interval in the play.

A few girls outside were heading for the stage door to get autographs, but stayed back when they saw David and his friends there. (You go down a little alleyway to the stage door) They were then overheard by papparazi as they spoke about David and Georgia being at the stage door with Catherine Tate. In fact, had they not said Georgia's name, it appears that the paps didn't even recognise her!

The fans never went up to David, but the papparazi wouldn't leave him alone and followed him down the street as he and his friends left.

They then made up stories to go along with their photos and this rubbish was printed in papers which are known for such falsifications.

The end. (I wish!)
