Dolly Parton rep says singer alive and well by PEP

For whatever reason, the story that Dolly Parton died is hot on the internet today. But it's not true.

East Tennessee's favorite daughter is alive and well, according to Pete Owens, Parton's public relations agent.

Owens says his office, just like Channel 10, has been flooded with calls. WSMV, the NBC station in Nashville, says they have also recieved calls.

Owens believes the rumor that Parton died from congestive heart failure may have started Friday night. Apparently, a local high school announced Parton's death during its football game.
