Dublin Airport Closed Until December 24 Due to Snow
Snow and Ice Close Dublin Airport During Holiday Rush
The holiday travel quagmire in Europe just got worse: Dublin Airport (DUB) is closed until 5am on December 24 due to heavy snowfall. Flights to and from Dublin Airport were suspended at 6:30pm.
As ground crews will have to clear over 15,000 tons of snow, please check Dublin Airport's website (as linked below) before making the trek. Also, follow DAA on Twitter if that makes life easier.
Our snow and ice crew are working to clear the runway, taxiway and apron area in time for the first wave of flight arrival and departures tomorrow morning - subject to favourable weather conditions.
A further update will be posted just before 05.00, Friday 24th December, 2010.
