Eco-fashion Handbags "Ecoist" partner with Coke

From "post-consumer and industrial waste" comes durable, funky accessories reportedly worn by celebrities such as Lindsay Lohan, Cameron Diaz and Petra Nemcova.

One self-described eco-fashion label, Ecoist, has partnered with Coca-Cola, Luna Bar and Aveda to create handbags made from misprinted and discontinued packaging.

"We tap into that source of waste because it is reliable, and unfortunately, it's abundant," Ecoist co-founder Jonathan Marcoschamer said. "We believe that for the next few years, there's going to be a significant amount."

This photo was taken after I mistakenly took these Coca-Cola cans as the "original" and "out-dated" cans. I only drink Diet Cherry and quite honestly thought that Coca-Cola had a new can design and not this one.

There are lots of limited edition labels available on these.  Some of the most popular are the confetti candy wrappers, barcode labels, and newspapers.  Get them here:

Colors and pop images aren't just eye candy. A color, an image, can make our mouths water and our wet imagination's appetite. Plus, I just like to eat.

It is exciting to see so much good style photos, the mixture of ideas is amazing. Yeah, over the last few months I've been collecting starburst wrappers like crazy, making bracelets out of them. They look cool and it's better than throwing them out! It's a great gift to give to friends as well, and if you want to know how to make them, just google it! I got the instructions right off the internet. I'd love to get a handbag or something made out of them, god knows I have enough collected! I posted a photo I took of some starburst pre-eaten.
