End of Summer News
It was one of those days when I couldn’t decide between biscuits with sausage gravy or blueberry buttermilk corncakes – I had both. After that, I threw up my hands and submitted to a 4 mile hike.
Going away is downhill. Coming back it is all uphill, the equivalent of 14 stories. Even a person who had a hearty breakfast gets hungry for lunch. As we walked past Ted’s Montana Steakhouse and sniffed the grill smoke in the air, our resistance gave way and into a booth we went for burgers, onion rings, and homemade pickles. I had a cold Blue Moon with a slice of orange.
That is the end of summer.
