Threesome in Airplane Toilet? Not on 9/11

Three passengers on a Frontier Airlines flight from San Diego to Detroit caused quite a panic when their "suspicious behavior" led the Air Force to scramble the F16 fighter jets.

Turns out that the passengers were working on a threesome in the airplane bathroom. They were going for Mile High Club gold-card status, obviously, and their fellow passengers didnt' recognize the signs of a high-altitude hookup.

Frontier Airlines Flight 623 learned that you shouldn't try to join the Mile High Club on September 11. However, I can think of nothing more symbolic and life-affirming: an attempt to reclaim an infamous date and turn into into another kind of date that's a better kind of infamous.

Okay, it's good that their fellow passengers were all eagle-eyed about this, but how did they miss the signs of what was really going on in the bathroom? If you've ever seen people who just hooked up in an airplane toilet, it's pretty unmistakable. I guess the daring threesome's fellow passengers either don't fly much, or fly on the wrong planes.

The F16s escorted the plane to Detroit International Airport, where the three frisky passengers were interrogated. I'm sure the authorities wanted to record every last detail.

Update: The FBI says that all three passengers were using the bathroom because they were "feeling sick". That's their story, and they're sticking to it.
