Today is Free Slurpee Day in the USA and Canada. (7/11-geddit?) You can visit your local 7-11 and score a free Slurpee*. Tell me how it was, because I cannot drink them. Brain freeze, you understand. Perhaps, one day, modern medicine will allow me to overcome this cruel affliction.
Saturday (7/11) is Slurpee Day at 7-Eleven stores, and they’ll be handing out free Slurpees from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. or until supplies last.
For me, the design behind the Slurpee is better than the Slurpee itself: I like those hybrid spoon/straws and surface-tension-defying plastic domes.
Please note that the Slurpee is not to be confused with the Slush Puppie. Same genus, different species.
(* 7.11oz Slurpees: so, not very large, but hey, free Slurpee, right?)

It was a little past midnight when I remembered it was July 11th, so my friend and I went to the nearest 7-11 to get our hands on slurpees
