A JAPANESE firm is accepting reservations for couples who really want to make the big leap - by blasting into space to exchange their wedding vows.

Each happy couple will spend 240 million yen ($2.4 million) for the ceremony in a small space vessel, which will shoot up 100km into the sky.

During the hour-long flight, the couple will spend several minutes in zero gravity during which they will exchange their vows with up to three guests present, said Taro Katsura, a spokesman for Japanese firm First Advantage

What a strange idea! Is it safe to let these couples into space even if they're not fully trained?

I had the pleasure of making a Star Destroyer cake for a wedding that took place at Kerner Optical/ ILM. I could only imagine what kind of cake I would make for a wedding in space!

These are photo's from our first wedding anniversary. We put on our wedding clothes and went to Niagara falls to take photos. We bought our first stormtrooper helmet on our honeymoon and have been taking it everywhere we go since. After we posted them on flickr, the photos became really popular. While we were taking these photos.. we were actually recognized by tourists from China, they new all our photos...they said we were in a Beijing newspaper.

These were all taken at my eldest cousin Aaron's Star Wars themed wedding. In which him and his bride were Han and Leia, and the wedding party were all Jedi.
