Government urges measures to improve tourism situation

According to the National Administration of Tourism (VNAT), the numberof tourists from Japan and the Republic of Korea (RoK) - consideredVietnam’s largest tourism markets - declined in the first three monthsof 2008.

Speaking at the meeting, VNAT’s Travel Department Director Vu The Binh attributed the situation to poor planning and a shortage of Japanese and Korean speaking tour guides.
