Grilling Up a Classic N'awlins Po Boy

While to many, grills are merely an excuse to invite friends and family over for some overcooked burgers and hot dogs, the recent rise in outdoor cooking shows and popularity of grilling and barbeque contests has opened the door to so much more.

 

While the weather has taken a turn towards Winter, Smoke In Da Eye Competition BBQ team, recent winners of the New York State BBQ championship, continue to keep the fires going, testing out new, innovative twists on traditional recipes from across the country.  In this video, we mix up the classic New Orleans fried oyster po boy, creating a crunchy grilled version.  Throughout the winter, we will continue to offer up a variety of new concepts before setting back out on the road for a new season of competition barbecue and grilling.  In the meantime, feel free to check out www.smokeindaeye.com for more tips, techniques and recipes.
