Interrupting Seagull Joins the Pantheon of Viral-Video Animals

Interrupting Seagull can join such luminaries as Crasher Squirrel and Dramatic Chipmunk.  We all know that the backdrop behind newscasters is fake, but it's hilarious-- and ever so viral-- when we're reminded of this fact by the presence of an apparently massive scavenger bird. It's all smoke and mirrors... and giant seagulls. (Will will the sea bird that upstaged Channel Nine News' Peter Hitchener end up being known as "Interrupting Seagull" or "Crasher Seagull"?)

Hitchener kept his cool, even while the camera crew were cracking up. Clearly he's dealt with giant birds before, which raises more questions than it answers.

  Perhaps the seagull can sort out the giant spider that's menacing the city.
