The Isle of Jura's master distiller has offered a luxury weekend on a Scottish island to whoever comes up with the best name for his latest whisky.

In the wake of his online battle with legendary mixologist Colin Field, the Isle of Jura's Richard Paterson has asked web users to suggest names for one of the distillery's latest creations. In addition to seeing the name they come up with appear on the bottle, the winner and a guest will spend a luxurious break in an island lodge off the west coast of Scotland.

Not to be outdone, Paris Ritz head barman Colin Field has responded with a matching offer to cocktail fans. Having invented a new whisky cocktail, he has promised a second weekend on Jura to the creative bright spark who comes up with the best name for it. The winner will also have the honour of seeing their creation appear on the drinks menu at the Paris Ritz.
