(July 12, 2008 - Nice, France) Angelina Jolie has given birth to healthy twins, a girl and a boy. The babies were delivered by Caesarian section in Nice's Lanval hospital which overlooks the French Riviera.

Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline were born just before 8pm, July 12, reported gynecologist Michel Sussmann.

After conflicting rumors, leaks and speculation generating media buzz, the first baby pictures sold to a US paper for $11.4 million dollars, reports French newspaper Nice-Matin.

I heard this was just a rumour:

In Touch Weekly claimed that Angelina Jolie gave birth on Saturday, but now, a rep for the hospital is denying that report.

TV's Extra has confirmed that Angelina did NOT given birth to her twins yet.

In an emailed statement regarding the reports, spokesperson for the Lenval Hospital in Nice, France, Nadine Bauer, says, “It is wrong information.”

Bauer also said that all information regarding Jolie would be posted on Lenval’s official website.

What is your source for that story?

The rumor was that she gave birth to twin girls. This is not a rumor and I can't give away my sources. Feel free to verify and check it out. Let me know if you come up with anything different. Thank you.

It’s official! Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have given birth to a boy and girl, named Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline.

Earlier in the day, french newspaper Nice-Matin quoted Jolie’s gynaecologist, saying that the actress did indeed give birth to a boy and girl, via casarian. Up until now, nothing was officially confirmed.

Jolie’s lawyers did the same thing when their first bioligical daughter, Shiloh Nouvel, was born back in 2006 - within minutes of the birth, her legal team snapped up several domains featuring different variations of Shiloh’s name.

Congrats to Brad and Angelina, about time those babies popped out!

Le Monde has reported this now, jusr now, that the Jolie-Pitts had a boy and a girl. Le Monde is a serious French newspaper. Good work now public if this is true I'm watching this channel.

Hollywood is boring everyone of those US so-called celebrity news rags reports the same crap they are all followers trying to be famous. They wouldn't know real culture or a real celeb. They think if it falls down and acts snotty it's a celebrity.

I like the names, too. Marcheline is a tribute to A Jolie's mom =) Want to hear about where Knox? I agree it is so good and telling because the USA papers report on the sappy crappy notalents like they were something. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are talented. Knox was the middle of name of Brad’s maternal grandfather (His mom was James Etta Hillhouse, her father was Hal Knox Hillhouse).

Hollywood star Angelina Jolie has given birth to healthy twins, a girl and a boy, in the French Riviera maternity clinic she has checked into, the Nice-Matin newspaper reported Sunday quoting her gynaecologist.

The twins, Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline, were born shortly before 8:00 pm (1800 GMT) on Saturday, the paper said quoting gynaecologist Michel Sussmann.

Jolie is fine after having a Caesarian section, it added.

Knox Leon was reported to weigh 2.27 kilogrammes (five pounds) and Vivienne Marcheline 2.28 kilogrammes (5.02 pounds).

The babies' first photograph was sold to a US paper for 11 million dollars (6.9 million euros), Nice-Matin said, adding that the money would be given to a humanitarian cause.

A source close to the clinic had said earlier the birth was expected in mid-August.

Boy I bet this news is bad news to those who were hoping to get adopted by a LALA Land A List couple.

It seems now their family is complete, the Bandwaggonry of Celeb 3rd world adoptions will wane, as it is does not seem as cache anymore and let's face it, if it won't get you on the front page by the media, it aint worth it.
