Footwear fetishists, stylish recessionistas, and long-time Sex and the City fans will be purring with delight to learn that beloved UK accessories line Jimmy Choo is set to debut a collection of shoes and bags with fashion forward retail giant H&M.

The Jimmy Choo collection for H&M will makes its exclusive worldwide appearance beginning November 14, 2009 in selected stores.

The collection will include a mix of women's shoes, bags, and clothing — and even a men's collection of shoes, bags, and accessories.

Jimmy Choo follows in the footsteps of other high-profile H&M designer collaborators, including: Matthew Williamson, Stella McCartney, Roberto Cavalli, Rei Kawakubo for Comme des Garcons, Victor & Rolf, Madonna, and many others.

The collection will be available from November 14 in around 200 stores across the world. It is the first time that H&M is collaborating with an accessories brand, and to celebrate Jimmy Choo will extend its design vision for this collection to women’s clothing to complement the accessories

For the uninitiated, Jimmy Choo shoes were first 'immortalized' in the television hit Sex and the City, and they've been spotted on the heels of many of Hollywood's A-listers like Halle Berry, Cate Blanchett, and Hilary Swank.

[Sex and the City]'s characters obsessed over the line's strappy sandals and sleek stilettos, and millions of fans immediately followed in Carrie's and her friends' high-heeled footsteps.

[...] Jimmy Choo shoes have gone on to receive plenty of attention elsewhere in pop culture, from hit films such as "The Devil Wears Prada" and "In Her Shoes" to TV sensations like "The Sopranos" and "Ugly Betty."
