Kanye West Unveils Louis Vuitton Trainers at Paris Fashion Week

Kanye West recenly announced his plans to quit rapping and begin designing for Louis Vuitton, and we caught a glimpse of his inaugural creation at the LV fashion show in Paris on January 22, 2009. West designed a pair of bright red trainers for the fashion house, and 4 additional designs by Kanye are forthcoming. Those will be available in varying colours, such as bright yellow and black.

The bright red shoes, which are due for release in June, were the centrepiece of the Louis Vuitton fall collection at Paris Fashion Week.

Unlike most trainers, the shoe's design features an exaggerated quilted flap at the back, which makes it easier to tuck trousers into.

West, a long term admirer of the fashion house, wore a pair as he watched the show from the front row.
