I am not a doctor but I feel that laughing is the best medication for depression. One of the laugh makers is funny lie.
Last week when I was taking some bears in a pub, someone made me laugh very much by lie and that was an enjoyable time for me. He was not my friend and I was simply listening and laughing from heart when he was talking with his friend. He said to his friend who was in USA, ‘have you seen the mountain to the west of New York?. His friend told him, ‘what do you mean? There is no mountain to the west of New York!’ O, you see what technology can do; did they clear it after I returned home?’ Just I laughed loud!
This remembered me same joke type lie I heard a year before in same pub. That time when friends were talking each other, one of them raised something about Shakespeare. The other one said, ‘you know that Shakespeare is my best friend?. The other replied to him that how can it be? Shakespeare was in the 13th century. Then his friend replied, Oh you see how time runs fast?’

Laughter is the best medicine,as the saying goes. The two jokes were really worth enjoying. But what about manifestation of ignorance of politicians. In mid-60s or so a member of Indian Parliament who was representing one of most backward area was once invited by a school to distribute prizes after conclusion of annaul sports competion. The member addressed the gathering, mostly consisting of students and teachers and began with his address with these words:'there are three kinds of games, hockey, foot ball and tournament'.Audience burst into laughter. To many it was a joke,to me a sad commentary on politicians.Dick Cheney wasn't far behind this illiterate MP.He said in a TV interview that" pyramids of Iraq were older than pyramids of Egypt".Thanks God,he didn't add that Saddam destroyed them before US troops entered Iraq.
