Transportation is growing in Italy, these pictures were taken near Milan the main business town in Italy. ENAC Italian Civil Aviation Authority has recentely successfully completed the first stage of qualification and authorization tests for the creation of a helicopter low altitude IFR route between Turin, Milan and Venice in Italy.
It’s a very important step for italian transportation, new companies are growing near Milan, I am a photographer and I had the opportunity to take some pictures in Bergamo Orio al Serio Airport and fly to Como Lake with them with an Hoverfly Eurocopter Dauphin AS 365 N2
I think that is a big important change for my country as Giuseppe Orsi, Chief Executive Officer, AgustaWestland said in a press conference “We are happy to have provided our contribution for the creation of helicopter low altitude IFR routes in Italy where latest rotorcraft technology can play a major role supporting the development of a modern integrated transportation network in the country. These successful tests represent a significant step forward as part of our efforts, under the VertiPass programme in Italy, to pave the path of a further exploitation of rotary-winged aircraft flexibility, safety and cost/effectiveness to the benefit of a larger and larger number of end-users. Under such programme AgustaWestland is committed to helping expand the use of rotorcraft platforms for passenger transport purposes in Italy”.
Hoverfly Executive Helicopter Service Company told me that in the center of Milan Regione Lombardia the highest (140 mt) building in Milano, higher than than famous Pirelli scraper (1956-1960) designed by the famous architect Giò Ponti, is going to be completed. I went there to take some new pictures and I've seen the helipad, when they will finish, it will be the first time that a private helicopter land in Milano near Corso Como the most fashionable road in Milano after 07.00 pm
