Madonna, Lourdes Leon and Taylor Momsen Were All Present For the Launch of the Material Girl Clothing Line

Madonna and her 13-year-old daughter Lourdes have been working hard to get their new Material Girl (a nod to Madonna's 1985 hit) collection ready and Wednesday night they were on the red carpet to debut the new looks.

Lourdes said that a 'material girl' is someone that has their own style and wants to be someone and wants to be the best that they possibly can. The young designer said that there is something for everyone in the collection, from Boho to Rocker and 80s and cited Lady Gaga, Alexander McQueen, Alexander Wang and Taylor Momsen as her design influences.

Momesn, who is the face of the design and was wearing a black dress and over-the-knee boots from the collection, said 'Lola' was such a pleasure to work with and such a talented young lady.

Momsen told The Huffington Post that Madonna is "such a down-to-earth, sweet person and that was really cool to see." She added, "I think the cool thing about style is that it's so unique to every person....It's about making it your own and owning it, no matter what anyone says." Does Momsen ever go casual? "I do, around the house...sweatpants, absolutely."

Madonna said that Lourdes makes most of the decisions, but if she does not like something she will be quite vocal about it, but for the most part she likes everything her daughter does.

When asked about working with her mom, Lourdes said that it is fun and she looks up to her mom's style, but sometimes they do clash when it comes to decision making.

Madonna joked that is when she tells her daughter it's time to do her homework.

The Material Girl clothing line is being sold by Macy's online and has received over one billion page views since the page launched in early August.
