Kick of your shoes, paint your toes, get the flip-flops out, and take your socks off because today is No Socks Day!
Always on May 8th
No Socks Day is a day to free your toes of the confines of socks and stocking. Give those toes of yours a breath of fresh air. The creators of this day also profess that No Socks Day will reduce your laundry load, and therefore, is healthy for the environment.
It's easy to participate in No Socks Day. Just leave your socks and stocking off, and let your toes enjoy a moment in the sun!

that's a funky idea to have a NO SOCKS day, actually... why not!:) it's getting warmer and warmer !:)))

I wore socks today, I had to go outside. My little feet love socks! And my awesome socks love being on my feet ^_^ so I think no harm was done.
Our girls have looked forward to Modern Dance for a long time, finally no ballet shoes!

I was just invited to share my shots here ~~ obviously i wear socks in that shot
just wandering ~~ why May 8? it's still cold here in Japan ~~ and during the time I shot my picture, it's raining,, it's still 4am, and it's cold ~~ my feet will gonna be freezing to death (lol)
Though I love socks free ~~~ during warm days ~~ love to go with my mules and sandals
Anyway ~~ I will mark May 8

Sydney is all about no socks. She has a habit of pulling off her left sock only. I guess thats a fun thing to do when one is six months old.

The challenge that night was to photograph our model, Beth, outside among the blossoming trees with the sun setting. Never choosing to be one of the gang, my vision went to the feet. Beth knew I had over 700 photos of feet and shoes for some books I am creating (in my head thus far) and treated me to a special pair of flip flops - and she did her nails too! How could I resist taking this picture. She kept the shoes on...for awhile...and then, well, it is so freeing to go barefoot - and she did!! I joined her as well. I was raised at the NJ seashore and as soon as it got warm enough, there went the shoes. Barefoot is the only way to feel the grass and the sand and the warmth of Mother Nature. So nice to see that so many others experience life in some of the same ways.
No Socks Day, WOW! I wish every day were no socks day. I live in LA where the weather is warm most of the year and every day is no socks day, even in winter. Although I can’t ware sandals to work, I show my toes every chance I get. I’m a guy and I love to show my toes. All ten polished with extravagant designs but that how I like them. I put hem “out there” every chance I get, flip flops are great! Show your toes! No Socks Day Rules! Throw on your flip flops or go barefoot if you dare.

no socks DAY~~~ EVERY Day is no socks day for me.. I hate wearing shoes and only love socks on those cold winter days :)

i am always barefoot (but rarely do wear socks, just not the other "s" things), so the day has little significance for me.
i go barefoot in winter and summer alike.
