I'll go easy as I assume you are a liberal arts major. The odds of a ticket winning is ~ 1 in 175M. However, as the jackpot is presently over $325M, this indicates that in excess of 325M tickets have been sold. Consequently, odds are that there will be more than one winner and the pot will be split. Here's a tip: playing the lottery just to take a shot is OK but it is never going to be a "good investment" (or "ivnestment" as you put it). That's how lotteries work - they are designed to separate suckers from their money.
