Michelle Obama was recently spotted wearing a pair of short shorts during the Obama family vacation near the Grand Canyon. The First Lady in shorts has drawn attention from the media, bloggers and members of the public who ask "were the Michelle Obama shorts to short?"

The picture of Michelle Obama in shorts can be seen online. It was taken as Michelle Obama in shorts disembarked from an Air Force plane in the Grand Canyon.

The Michelle Obama shorts picture has sparked a discussion about the First Lady's right to bare her legs. Yet Michelle Obama's shorts were nothing out of the ordinary, nor were they exceptionally skimpy.

The mid-thigh jeans shorts Obama sported are something most American women would wear without a second thought.

So, what do you think? Is it a bad fashion choice for the First Lady? And, for that matter, should we even bother concerning ourselves with this at all?

They were hardly booty shorts, and what was the temperature there that day - 102? She's the mother of two kids, on a family vacation ... what do people think she was supposed to wear? First the right to bare arms, now legs, what silliness!

At 106 degrees, I am wondering why Mr. Obama is not wearing shorts:)! Too, I wouldn't want to think that this is a 'plug' for the book Mrs. O, The Face of Fashion Democracy, the title of which I do not believe has yet been released.
