Miss California Fired: Carrie Prejean Out, Tami Farrell In

Carrie Prejean, 22, has been stripped of her crown. The controversial Miss California has been fired for repeated "contract violations," including missing scheduled public appearances.

Being fired as the reigning Miss California may be as much of a relief as it is a disappointment for Carrie Prejean. Prejean dealt with critics after speaking against same-sex marriage after being asked for her opinion on the topic by a judge during the Miss USA pageant. Some think the question may have cost her the Miss USA crown.

Soon after, topless photos of Prejean were released. Soon after, pageant impresario Donald Trump held a press conference stating that Prejean wouldn't have to give up her title because of the photos.

Prejean managed to weather the storm, but missing several pageant-related appearances appeared to be the last straw.

"This was a decision based solely on contract violations including Ms. Prejean's unwillingness to make appearances on behalf of the Miss California USA organization," Lewis said.

Miss Malibu Tami Farrell, who was first runner-up to Prejean in the Miss Calfornia pageant, will now take the title of Miss California.

She got fired because she couldn't follow directions and do what her bosses told her to do. She couldn't follow directions about disclosing the pictures. What is this girl's problem?

I agree with her about gay marriage, but this is the real world. If you don't live up to an employment contract, you get canned.

She is a martyr to the Christian Right Jihad!

The Far Left cannot stomach her baring her breasts for the greater glory of God. You would think the "science-based" heathens would appreciate a look at how Man and Nature can work together for the greater glory.

The mainstream media and late-night comics can only ridicule those who follow the tune of their own Blackberry and not that of liberal, corporate handlers and socialists such as Donald Trump.

What is a contract, but words? Words and legal mumbo jumbo have no place in the world of right-wing, whacko martyrs.
