Money Magazine released its list of the top 100 places to live in the US. The list is compiled with data reflecting crime rates, economic health, affordable housing (sorry, NYC), quality of schools. Not Atlanta, but Peachtree City, GA. Not Detroit, but Grand Beach, MI. Not Seattle, but Mukilteo, WA.
The top ten are:

  • Louisville, CO
  • Chanhassen, MN
  • Papillion, NE
  • Middleton, WI
  • Milton, MA
  • Warren, NJ
  • Keller, TX
  • Peachtree City, GA,
  • Lake St Louis, MO
  • Mukilteo, WA

You'll notice that no major metropolitan cities make the top 100. Even a place called Bountiful (UT) comes in at only 71.

The announcement was made on NBC's Today Show Monday morning. The magazine used schools, good jobs and affordable housing along with a low crime rate to base its decision.
