Some old merit badges got scrapped: no more "Looking Your Best" or "From Fitness to Fashion" badges. The new Girl Scouts badges include:

  • Good Credit
  • Savvy Shopper
  • Money Manager
  • Locavore
  • Website Designer
  • Netiquette
  • Inventor
  • Voice for Animals (Insert Chuck Testa joke here)
  • Science of Happiness
  • Public Policy

The badges themselves have a retro look going on: Graphic Design is not among the newly-introduced badges, it would seem.

Ruth Bramson, the chief executive of Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts, wants to make one thing clear. “We’ll never give up the cookie badge.’’

How about adding a Superfly-themed "Pusher" badge for sales of Thin Mints?
