Are you Canadians feeling let down, missing out on all the Black Friday "bargains" south of the border?  Our retailers have planned some bargains of their own this weekend:

It's Black Friday south of the border but Canadian consumers are enjoying a few bargains of their own.

Canadian Tire stores across the country opened their doors at 7am Friday for a three-day Christmas sale, and shoppers at one downtown location were lined up waiting to get in.

The 'sales' pitch seems to be working, as Canadian Tire shoppers joked about waiting to get into the store before the crack of dawn.

Fewer than half of Canadians surveyed, about 41 per cent, planned to head across the border to take in the Black Friday specials. But given that many of the stores up here are throwing their own pre-Christmas sales, one might argue there's no need.

Plannning on heading to the shopping centres this weekend? Here are a just a few stores offering holiday sales this weekend:

Canadian Tire

The Brick

Henry's

Apple

The Bay

Sears

Zellers

Best Buy

Wal-Mart

It's in the best interest for American's to emulate Canadians and not vice versa. For you to emulate us is regressive.
