The Other Nice Thing About Election Day

In addition to the right to make my voice heard, election day has an added benefit. Every election day, the Girl Scouts set up a booth right out front and sell cookies. The door to door selling of pretty much anything has gone the way of the Dodo, so I don't often get the opportunity to buy Girl Scout cookies, but every election day I come home with several boxes. It's a nice reward for doing my civic duty.
