Papa John's pizza boss says too much pizza is unhealthy
The head of Papa John's pizza chain, Mr. Schnatter, said in a Radio interview on BBC Radio 4 that eating too much pizza is unhealthy for you, and that no one should eat entire pizzas. He said it was unhealthy to eat more than two slices.
Papa John's pizza is not sold by the slice anywhere and you can only get whole pizzas to takeaway.
During an interview on BBC Radio 4's Today programme, Mr Schnatter said: "Pizzas are healthy for you if you don't eat too much of it. You can't eat five or six slices.
"But if you eat one or two slices it's very nutritious. A slice or two is good for you."
The chain does have a small pizza size, but that is still six slices, and the large pizza has 10 slices.
Mr Schnatter founded the company in 1985 and has said that despite the recession, sales for Papa John's are still going strong.
Due to his words, 500 million pounds were wiped off the value of his business overnight as customers say they are boycotting the chain.

I worked at Papa John's nearly 8 years and ate pizza nearly every day. The Original crust is the healthiest followed by thin crust and then deep. I always stayed away from the peperoni and the sausages, from any pizza chain. A veggie pizza is also very tasty and not nearly as bad for you as a all meat pizza. Moderation!

Bread, veggies, tomato sauce, meats, cheese. I guess if you get it with pineapple it covers all four food groups. They should make an organic nonbleached wheat crust, to make it healthier. Organic veggies would be a plus, and free-range meat products. I'd pay more money for quality.

China is a country of bikes and nowadays there are a lot of electrical bicycles. Papa John's are using their custom made electrical bicycles for food delivery. nice looking!
