Beyond Pink

Events that raise funds and awareness about breast cancer and any other cancer for that matter are needed and worthwhile. The initiative has become so popular that NFL football players can be seen wearing pink gloves on Sundays.

An artist friend from Santa Barbara fashioned a bra for the “Beyond Pink” fundraiser this month in Spokane Washington. While the event is past, her work will live somewhere behind the scenes where it may be uplifting.

In popular vernacular the bra is hands-free and hands-on.

Artist Sharon Frobisher Doyle says “This is a photo of the bra I designed and made for the Beyond Pink auction 2011. It was called "My Green Thumb - or Garden in your Underwear". It went for $450.00.”
