A friend of mine received a gift of Ficoco - fig jam with cocoa, and was looking for ways to use it. Ravioli dolci di Pulgia is a perfect cookie for any type of jam. Italy has many jam filled cookies and this one is impressive and is perfect for holiday desserts. Figs were also used to make "mosto cotto", which is a sweet syrup made of fruits or grape skins. This was use as a replacement for sugar.
Ravioli Dolci is a fried cookie that does not have a long shelf life, in fact this is best eaten the day they are made. They would be a perfect for a Thanksgiving dessert.
