Ray Ban Launches Wayfarer Colorize Kit
The ever-classic Ray Ban is releasing a customizable version of their Wayfarers which will allow you to color and stencil your shades to most accurately portray just how hip and original you are.
Ray Ban beats the trend with a Wayfarer kit that lets you go crazy like school kid with coloring pens and stencils to custom your pair of shades. Dropping next year, the “Colorize” kit will give you that unique look.
Similar to Adidas' Adicolor shoes back in the 1980's (and again in 2005), which paired all-white low-tops with 6 acrylic paints, paintbrushes and sealant for the leather so artists could customize their kicks, the Colorized Wayfarers will really allow you to make your mark.
I think this is 99% marketing hype and 1% practicality - any artist who is talented enough to paint their accessories doesn't need an official kit from Wayfarer or Adidas to do so. What likely results from the one-time-only efforts by consumer amateurs is a big colourful mess, and you're left with brand-new markers to recycle and stencils you will never use again.
If only the Wayfarers came with an eraser marker so you could continually update the look and colour of your shades - now that's an idea.

I´ve found the model Aviator of Ray Ban at Paseo de la Reforma, an important avenue in Mexico City, Mexico. It seems to be so popular that imitations can be found almost on every corner. The photo I share is from my Flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/sarihuella/3017669633/)

For these being such a hype in the last year, we can say that the Wayfarer is back, but I hope they do stay. They're so stylish and original though I'm sad to say that in my country, no style sticks forever. I'm really happy my photo got posted, I just wanted to capture the laid back sense of feeling that these glasses brings to one :P

Ahh yes, Ray-Ban Wayfarers. The best shades ever made in history! In my country, it's really hard to find these kind of wayfarers anymore. So yeah, to the people of the whole world.. don't stop using Ray-Ban Wayfarers, cause you know someday that it will be the trend again. Anyway, thank you NowPublic for requesting one of my photos in Flickr to be publish here.

Well, My Daughter that paints just about any thing she wears may be glad to find a pair or pure white shows and shades to paint rather then having to work through it and remove or neutralize the existing colours before being able to paint them, Yes it is marketing, however their is a market for it as well nowadays.

The Wayfarers are tempting, but I stick to the aviator style, usually gold frames this pic is a rare exception.

I used to have a great pair of square, yellow sunglasses, but they went missing a few years ago. (They were way more cool than they sound)

Casey, looking at the George Washington Bridge (reflected in her Ray Bans...not Wayfarers, tho), from the Jersey side.

Fascinates me the idea to include an human's enhancement in a natural complex as the wooden bench and blades of grass in sight. I think that this photo arouses endless coloured feelings, and with a conflict between the discoloured wood and the fullcoloured sunglasses.
